Knowledge, Arcana - Chaotic Neutral
Historian of the divines and keeper of the Eternal Archive, Kuevinor is the patron god of arcane magic users and traveling story tellers such as bards. It is said that he personally inspires and influences the epics that are produced by elven cultures, and that he plays the part of bard to The Ten.
To the high elves, he was the first to ever raise worship to Vilsya, and after his death she lifted him to join herself and Haelmir in the heavens. Seeing his intelligence and vast command of the arcane arts, she granted him the role of her personal librarian. At first, he kept records and studied within the halls of divinity, serving Vilsya and Haelmir as counsel while also keeping a record of all that happened on Tyar. As time went on and the pantheon grew, he shifted roles from a royal counsel and private librarian and instead became the keeper of the Eternal Archive. He defends these records with his life, and when Nylva returned to divinity to try to take control, he was slain by her blood magics. Vilsya brought him back from death, making a deal with Gwanath and Gwanu that promised them her own soul when she meets her end in return for his own. The twins accepted, and shortly after entered the battle with their mother.
To the wood elves, Kuevinor was the first sorcerer, and claimed his place among The Ten when his prodigious gift for the arcane proved his blood carried more divine power than the other elves born at the time. From there, his story is similar to that of the story told by the high elves. He was given the task of advising Vilsya and her consort on arcane matters, and became Vilsya’s personal historian, recording all the happenings of her children upon Tyar and eventually becoming the keeper of the Eternal Archive and historian for the entire pantheon.
The dark elves view Kuevinor’s existence as an abomination, as he was born directly from the divine and was returned from the dead by Vilsya’s hand. His followers, while not often targeted directly by Nylva’s, occasionally fall prey to the machination of her more devoted and twisted cultists, who believe they can channel the divine arcane power from the god himself to aide in the release of Nylva from her prison.
In depiction, Kuevinor appears as a wizened old elf with long dark hair, keen eyes, and no facial hair at all. He is always dressed in robes and is usually holding an orb or tome in one hand and a staff in the other. There is at least small altar to him in nearly every place of arcane study and he is often depicted in great murals on the walls and ceilings of elven libraries and places of learning.
