The Planet that this story takes place on is called by all as the “Superunknown”. In general, it can be estimated to be about twice the size of Earth. The main continent which is large and Pangea-like, is called “The Roam”. The large island northeast of The Roam is called “Solitude’s Anvil”. The island southwest of The Roam is called “The Soundgarden” and the island southeast of The Roam is called “The Downward Spiral”. All other locations are named on the map provided.
Covering major features of The Roam, there are areas called “Vortexergy of War” and “Vortexergy of Conquest”. These two areas are results of massive wars and essentially now dead zones. Nothing lives there and anything that enters deep enough into is eventually destroyed under the immense amount of chaotic Essence/energy. The “Bath of Fire” is a large canyon, dead of all life and mostly just rock and glass. This is due to Superunknown’s moon, Star’s Sword, which is made entirely of diamond. Yearly when aligned with the sun, refracts immense energy onto the planet, scarring it as such. Yes, the bridges need to be rebuilt as a result and are done in tradition by both Elfines and Krogoths.
Solitude’s Anvil is traditionally home to the Lithoborne and is essentially a cold, rocky island with very rough living conditions. The Downward Spiral has no notable features other that it hosts almost every type of climate, from basically tropical to arctic. The Soundgarden is a large uninhabited island (some have tried). It is believed that the Essence on the plant originates in some fashion from here. Much like the Vortexergy locations, the Essence is chaotic and eventually destroys anything not natural to the island (but in a more subtle way). There are “opportunities”, really just guesses, of times that people venture Phaethe Falls and are able to permanently gain the ability to wield Essence. Those that do not, die. The chance of gaining Essence is about nine percent.
