Opening Song - "Prelude 12/21" by AFI
The episode opens with the group recovering back at Stellarvania, preparing to encounter Eonlypse
As the group gears up, they split up to talk to some of their friends before meeting one of King Terofin's consults, Slimboi, to make travel arrangements.
Qaplowski heads to Yelyah Rose's quarters. Dressed in plain clothes and covered in scars, she's in the middle of packing her belongings. Yelyah is relieved that they actually accomplished what Rygar had learned and feared and what she decided to finish (destroying Worldender). She is getting ready to leave in order to settle her debt with Trent Razor. After some conversation, Qaplowski, out of frustration, slams her Goldenaxe down and tells her it's not the time to leave. Yelyah, a little surprised by her outburst, agrees that Eonlypse is a larger threat and that settling her debt may, in the end, not matter.
Earl heads to Interceptor's quarters. She's in plain clothing, cybernetic arm detached, packing her stuff, and is very angry and distraught. She hastily explains to Earl that she's leaving for Everlong to give her account of what happen to King Oma. After an emotional talk (and a long handshake), Earl extends a true offer of friendship based on their past experiences and their wish to have Alyce back with them. Interceptor accepts to stay and help the group, while holding him to his promise to help her try and get Alyce back after their done.
Terofin and Orbod go to check on Ravenscroft, who immediately says to them on their arrival, "Hey losers, ready to go?". Terofin asks for any information on Eonlypse. She divulges what she knows, but ultimately it will come down to their numbers versus him, since she really thinks he is one of the most powerful people in the world.
After all is settled, the group goes to Castle Shimmer to meet with Slimboi - "Last Nite" by The Strokes
"Meow, I can't believe you're all here!" After acknowledging everyone, Slimboi thanks them for destroying Worldender (word is already traveling). He then tells them what they know about Eonlypse and arrive to safe travel to Oasis before the Star's Sword Event occurs.
The gang travels to Oasis. The kingdom doesn't appeared damaged, but people are acting as if they were attacked recently. Some smoke is seen closer to the main castle of Oasis. They easily get to the Wonderwall, where Princess Xixes is discovered wounded, as well as Scotty, Hitomi, and Crash who are with her being treated.
Xixes tells Terofin that Leyawiin, Blocus, Scotty and Hitomi showed up to inform her of what happened with their encounter of the Sol'ker at Last Hope. Also Crash, Burn, and Firestarter were in Oasis as well. Eonlypse then ambushed them, somehow directly in Wonderwall by himself, and managed to kidnap Burn and Firestarter. They tried to fight Eonlypse but was too powerful. In the midst of the battle, they didn't see what happened to Leyawiin and Blocus but she assumes they left to follow Eonlypse. They've tried to communicate and find anyone but have been unsuccessful. From what they know, Eonlypse didn't seem to leave by sea. Her only hope is a scout in The Distance, named Kihar, who she's confidant would be able to locate him.
Xixes is angry about Eonlypse but with everything going on is unable to dedicate her resources to help get revenge. She offers some higher-end transportation to help go west (Thunderhorse, Reptillia, and the White Stripe). Earl calls for the Thunderhorse and will pilot it. - "Thunderhorse" by Dethklok
Our heroes blast off west to search for Kihar. Along the way they catch scattered remnants of dead soldiers from Oasis.
The start approaching a spot that appears like a mirage with dark spots, but no lifeforms detected. Terofin uses Essence to see if it's worth investigating; he sees that they're geothermal vents creating the mirage and they should just avoid it.
The next noticeable spot is an abandoned camp. Earl observes that surrounding the camp are positions to launch an ambush. They ask Yelyah to fly up and get an aerial view of the camp. Taking a long time, they notice she's doing a similar spell as Terofin. She comes back and says she thinks Kihar is there. Orbod, using Essence, makes his voice booming calling for Kihar to come out as they've been sent from Xixes (as he holds the token they were given). Kihar reveals himself and approaches the group. - "Snow (Hey Oh)" by Red Hot Chili Peppers
"What can I do for you guys; I'm part of the Watch Out." he asks the group. He declares Imperator Tu-Ton is a distant cousin of his. Kihar tells them he's seen great evil passing by, gathering at the Bath of Fire. He offers to show them where this is but also hints about other things he knows about The Distance. Qaplowski kind of demands it. Kihar agrees but does not wish at all to go with them. He tells them of a lone person wondering The Distance (rather large and mean looking Krogoth with a large hammer, coming from the east and going west). Also there's a herd of urpmels further along, if they wished to try and ride them to get where they want to go but stealthly. Eonlypse is inside the middle of the Bath of Fire with a simple altar setup, with unwilling persons. A beat up van was also noticed.
The group decides to encounter the unknown Krogoth; he turns out to be Randagulf. He greats them and tells them he was going to the Bath of Fire to witness the Star's Sword Event. Qaplowski asks if he wants to be part of a big battle. He says of course but doesn't quite believe how big it'll be. Earl convinces Randagulf that they only get into the biggest of battles. He holds his hammer, pauses, and says "I can tell you need me." He joins them.
They arrive at the urpmels. There's some debate about riding them but ultimately the group decides it's not worth trying to tame them to ride nor to split up. The continue riding on.
They finally arrive to the Bath of Fire, approaching from the south. They come up to Earl's van, with the Lazer Witch chained up nearby yelling at them to help. Further away, they see on a simple large stone altar, Eonlypse. - "The Hollow" by A Perfect Circle
Next to Eonlypse are two sarcophaguses type setups. Beyond them, Earl and Ravenscroft see that Leyawiin and Blocus are captured and bound as well.
Eonlypse greets the group and gets right to monologuing.
He found out about Lazer Witch and captured her to use her power
Found out about Worldender but it wasn't his focus (but sent his minions just in case) since he didn't believe he could ultimately control it
What he really worked on was finding a way to control the Star's Sword Event, using his Essence and the contraptions that Burn and Firestarter are encased in (made of both Essence and tech, similar to what Lord Pendragon and Aldren Stockton were using). He's going to control the Star's Sword Event and redirect it to destroy half the kingdoms in the Superunknown
Terofin, insisting his idea is dumb and not convinced he can control the Star's Sword Event, asks what he's read to make him believe he could perform such a feat. Eonlypse decides to show him an example of things he reads, pulling out a book and begins reading. He summons a being made of Essence; the Eternal Champion - "Chop Suey!" by System of a Down
The Star's Sword Event is seen looming in the background, as the clock begins to tick before it arrives at their location. The adversaries clash.
Eonlypse and Eternal Champion cast spells (Umbradeth's Undoing) and get into fighting positions; Terofin talks to Lazer Witch and she's chained up to watch Eonlypse cause all of his planned destruction, while also witnessing the deaths of Leyawiin and Blocus. She can't help them because she doesn't have her stuff and has been to traumatized to focus. Terofin also focuses on Eternal Champion and figures out this is an actual being meant to be awesome in hand-to-hand combat and won't be harmed by convential weapons.
Yelyah Rose runs to Lazer Witch and picks the lock on her bindings, setting her free. When thanking Yelyah, she gets a flash of what needs to happen to help everyone else. Leyawiin and Blocus are bound by Essence, while Firestarter and Burn are bound by both. Lazer Witch then runs to hide by the van.
Interceptor epically fails to attack Eonlypse. Randagulf charges into battle to face Eternal Champion. Orbod barriers himself but notices Ravenscroft being distraught; gets the same exact feeling of when Earl was mind controlled by Magdalena. He moves closer to her to try and pep talk her. Qaplowski runs to engage.
Ravenscroft falls into Eonlypse's control. She targets Orbod since he's closest. She unloads her weapon into him, incapacitating him and running out of ammo.
Earl witnesses Orbod going down at the hands of Ravenscroft and decides to attack her, impaling her with his Predator sword and nearly incapacitating her.
Eonlypse attacks Qaplowski, hitting her with a poisonous attack (Magdalena's Malignant); Eternal Champion focuses on Randagulf with a successful martial arts-like blow, but Qaplowski parry's the attack to reduce the damage and counterattacks, horrifically injuring him. Terofin heals his apprentice Orbod to bring him back into action. Yelyah moves to engage the Eternal Champion, hitting him but slipping in the process. Interceptor moves to fight him as well, but ends up slipping and falling as well. Randagulf whiffs on his attack.
Orbod drinks a healing potion and concentrates on his barrier. Qaplowski misses her offensive attack. Ravenscroft manages to wiggle away from Earl, dropping her weapon to pull her Farsight-EM and shoot at Terofin. He gets one shotted and she continues to flee, still under Eonlypse's control.
With things looking dire, some help arrives from Everlong; Shadowboxer - "Soldier Side" by System of a Down
Eonlypse continues his assault, hitting Qaplowski with Regnier's Wrath. Eternal Champion swings again at Randagulf, who's almost keeling over from exhaustion. Yelyah, laying on the ground, notices Ravenscroft and the state she is in. She gets up to dispel Eonlypse's control and successful. Interceptor raises up to attempt hitting the Eternal Champion again, which she does but in doing so makes him more difficult to attack again. Randagulf lands a massive blow to Eternal Champion but gets knocked back in the process.
Orbod returns the favor to Terofin and bandages him. Qaplowski drinks a potion to heal and then attacks the Eternal Champion but stumbles to the ground. Ravenscroft, now within her own mind, composes herself and reloads her weapons despite her wounds. Earl blasts the sarcophagus to his left, tearing away its physical properties revealing Burn encased inside the remaining Essence. Shadowboxer runs to Terofin, trying to tend his wounds to help him return to action.
As the epic battle continues, another person comes to aid the group; Mezhyp - "Get Over It" by OK Go
Eonlypse continues despensing destruction, this time with Murmaider's Malevolence targeting Qaplowski but this time fails. The Essence was too much and actually destroys the Essence encasing Burn, freeing her. The Eternal Champion continues his assault on Randagulf, hitting him.
Terofin, casting his signature spell, unleashes one of the greatest healing spells ever, revitalizing all of his wounded allies.
Yelyah lunges at the Eternal Champion, stabbing him and killing him. However, Eonlypse takes the book out that summoned the Eternal Champion and reabsorbs all his Essence. Then he takes that Essence and encapsulates Burn back in Essence. He is even able to speed up the Star's Sword Event.
Interceptor assesses the situation and thinking Eonlypse may be too strong, instead leaps over him to get to Leyawiin and Blocus, using Essence to break their bindings.
Randagulf gets up and starts to slowly make way to Eonlypse
Orbod goes to unleash his signature spell towards the sarcophaguses, utterly destroying the one that had Firestarter in it. He unleashed so much Essence, that he managed to undo some Eonlypse's Essence and slowed down the Star's Sword Event. Qaplowski repositions herself. Ravenscroft shoots at the other sarcophagus, misses, but distracts Eonlypse. Earl breaks the physical portion of Burn's prison. Shadowboxer moves to engage Eonlypse, while Mezhyp goes back-to-back with Qaplowski ready to fire. Leyawiin starts making her way away from the Star's Sword Event. Blocus books it towards the van knowing their time is limited.
Eonlypse leaves the altar in frustration and attacks Qaplowski again with Regnier's Wrath. The attack is powerful and vicious, but Mezhyp takes the brunt of the damage, maiming him and loses his arm. Terofin heals Qaplowski and Ravenscroft while taunting Eonlypse further. Eonlypse, angry at Terofin, then casts at Regnier's Wrath at Terofin, incapacitating him immediately but is knocked down from the immense blast.
Yelyah tries to take advantage of Eonlypse falling over but his mere presence is too horrifying for her to get close. Interceptor uses her Essence to break the remaining Essence enclosure around Burn, freeing her. Randagulf goes to smash Eonlypse but hits one of his mirror images. Orbod runs back to his King, forcing him to drink a health potion to revive him.. Qaplowski attempts to land a blow on the prone Eonlypse and is unsuccessful. Ravenscroft reloads her weapons. Earl fires his Ripley's Ravager at him and misses . Shadowboxer hits a mirror image. Mezhyp, reeling from losing an arm, does nothing. Leyawiin and Blocus continue to run back to the van. Firestarter decides to run away.
Eonlypse dusts himself off as he gets back up and focuses all his Essence to influence the Star's Sword Event to arrive early. In a thunderous voice, he tells them "Good luck suckers" and teleports next to the van.
Terofin uses his Warpcrawler to teleport himself and Blocus into their modded van. Yelyah, Interceptor, and Randagulf start booking it towards the van.
Orbod, impressed yet peeved by Eonlypse manipulating the speed of the Star's Sword Event, decides to try and use his Essence to tilt the Star's Sword and slow it down. He's successful and buys his friends (and Eonlypse). He then runs to the van.
Ravenscroft switches to her Phobos 12-SCG to shoot at Eonlypse but hits a mirror image. Earl moves back to his van and shoots and misses. Shadowboxer and Mezhyp run back. Leyawiin shouts to her friends that Eonlypse won't be able to escape and that they just need to get out. Blocus starts up the van. Firestarter slows down to wait for Burn while she runs back.
Eonlypse blast the door open into the van with Essence and gets in. Terofin, after recomposing himself and committing to his final fate, grabs Eonlypse and uses his Warpcrawler to teleport both of them back to the altar
Yelyah, Interceptor, Lazer Witch, and Randagulf get to the van. Orbod unwilling to leave his mentor behind, runs back for him. Ravenscroft, Earl, Shadowboxer, Mezhyp, Leyawiin, Firestarter, and Burn all get to the van.
Eonlypse, accepting his fate, but wanting to get some last form of revenge and satisfaction, casts Regnier's Wrath at Terofin. He engulfs Terofin, nearly killing him outright. He continues, seething with rage, burns him again, and finally kills Terofin.
Orbod witnessing Terofin's death and confronted with the person who tormented his past, decides to stay and attempt to push Eonlypse into the Star's Sword Event. Despite channeling all of his Essence and will, he fails to affect him. Eonlypse retaliates to Orbod's attempt with Regnier's Wrath, incapacitating him.
Blocus, piloting the van, decides against trying to save Orbod and punches it out. - "What It Is To Burn" by Finch
Everyone in the group is able to witness Eonlyspse, as well as Orbod, be consumed by the Star's Sword Event as they fly out of the Bath of Fire.
