Opening Song - "Welcome to the Black Parade" by My Chemical Romance
Starting Location - Everlong, outside the main gates
The group, heading a call from their friend Turok to come to Everlong post haste, all converge outside the gates at the same time, only to be ambushed.
The ambushers appear to all be Machineheads, with what looks like gear/equipment from the AOC (Alpha Omega Corporation) but clearly reused/worn down
They call for "the Essence users to be apprehended; eliminate the rest"
As the group eliminates the threats, they are mid-fight joined by Leyawiin Shepard - "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)" by Fuel
Once the fight is over, the group catches up with Leyawiin; newcomer Orbod is overwhelmingly eager to meet her. She explains that she's been in Everlong since the Omega Conflict and she no longer feels that she should stay. She has instead decided to travel the land (to sort of "find herself).
Terofin tries to convince her to stay, but instead upsets her and causes her to promptly leave
Our returning adventurers find themselves in a familiar location (same as Season 1, Episode 4). Apparently thirsty from their travel and fight, they all decide to head to the Snuggly Duckling
At the Snuggly Duckling, it's at peak capacity. Patrons are crawling everywhere, a stage is set for a performance, and what seems to be a large and loud game is happening in another corner.
After entering they manage to immediately notice a large, familiar Krogoth, Fiona Grapple - "Dirty Little Secret" by All-American Rejects
Qaplowski go straight to her, trying to jog her memory (since both got pretty drunk their first encounter) of who she was, but couldn't hit the mark. While she was in the middle of what seemed like a couple's argument, Fiona confused and frustrated leaves towards the stage. Qaplowski awkwardly befriends the newly ex-boyfriend of Fiona, Scotty - "The Worst Day Ever" by Simple Plan. After sharing some drinks, Scotty leaves to drink his sorrows away and Qaplowski trying to search out for Fiona becomes more and more suspicious looking to the patrons in the surrounding area.
Terofin and his protégé Orbod (strangely) grab an available table. Earl casually works his way to the bar for what turns out to be a free drink on the house. He over hears a loud and bodacious man talking about all his "feats". Earl send him a drink which prompts the man to come over and talk to Earl. He introduces himself as Steve, or as some people call him, "Cardiac" Steve - "Can't Stop" by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Always looking for business, Cardiac Steve offers his "services" to Earl for 5,000 IBU's. Earl declares he'll think about it and heads to a table.
Terofin decides to find out more about this "Cardiac" Steve and plays it off as if he doesn't know Earl. Frustrating Steve, including asking for a "reference", he still offers his services but for a sum of 7,500 IBU's, to ask "Mr. E" in The Silverchair as a reference, and promptly leaves sight of the group.
A crowd quickly gathers around the stage; Fiona Grapple is up front cheering. The band comes out and starts performing, getting the place even more pumped up. She's clearly cheering and making eye contact with the lead singer, Lustra - "Scotty Doesn't Know" by Lustra
With Orbod quietly shadowing each other member of the group, Earl makes way to Qaplowski to diffuse an escalating social disaster and Terofin leaves the bar to make way for The Silverchair. Earl scoops up Qaplowski and they push their way through the crowd to jam with the music, which at that point everyone forgets what was happening and is now just having a good time.
Terofin arrives at The Silverchair. Inside, he notices a person furiously going over notes and books with many of their contents spiraled all over the place; it's Turok - "Time Is Running Out" by Muse
Turok and Terofin quickly reconnect. Turok asks where the rest of the party is, since he wants them all there to discuss the urgent matter. Terofin communicates to the group to immediately make way to The Silverchair
In private, Turok informs the group why he summoned all of them
Through all of the research, prior, during and post Omega Conflict, he found more information on the infamous "Black Soul Artifacts" that were seeked out by Aldren Stockton but ultimately retrieved and wielded by Rell Berridge.
All of the Black Soul Artifacts were all created independently a long, long time ago by people with the most evil of intentions
The artifacts eventually became "aware", with their own identity. Sensing each other, they tried to "seek" each other, as when combined their power would grow. With all seven combined they would create what would be known as "The Unsainted" (what Rell Berridge was calling himself, but falsely as he only had six of the seven). This power would easily bring the demise of the world and all living
During the creation of these Black Soul Artifacts, great secret "leaders", really those who maintained and were part of The Silverchair library of Everlong, sought to and successfully create an item to combat these seemingly indestructible artifacts called "Circles". Unfortunately it would not be able to destroy them but simple "reset" them; banish them to unknown locations in hopes they would never be recovered again. The ring was used once for each Black Soul Artifact, where they were never seen again for hundreds and hundreds of years (hence the ring was stored at The Silverchair and our group recovered it last season) until now, during the Omega Conflict. With Terofin successfully using the ring, it seemed as if they were banished once more.
Turok then reveals the bad news. The Black Soul Artifacts were able to create some kind of "back door" to allow themselves to be joined instantly. A person with the "mark" (what Terofin had obtained when trying to read some ancient unknown scroll) who used the Circles ring to "reset" the Black Soul Artifacts would actually reset them together, as one, to become what is known as the Worldender. Once someone can obtain the Worldender, the would instantly have the power of all seven Black Soul Artifacts and bring the end of the world. So with Turok marked and resetting the Black Soul Artifacts, it is known that Worldender now exists.
Turok then reveals even worse news. All of his notes and research was stolen recently. He admits despite his experience and knowledge he cannot recall all of the information that he was working on, so he really doesn't have any leads for them except for one. He hands the group notes that have the words:
Go, Rise, Water, Extreme, Outer, Towards, Straight, Lost, Evade, Heaven, To, Out
Lastly, he informs the group that Everlong (under King Oma's orders), has hired someone to help this group with their endeavors who can provide info on contacts (basically mercenaries/bounty hunters, contractors, etc.). He's currently at The Silverchair, Mr. E - "No One Knows" by Queens of the Stone Age
The group introduces themselves to Mr. E, who knows exactly who they are, and tells them to come with him to a separate private room.
After some introductions and explaining of what he was hired for, the group presses about the "murders" that Kanteriiss remotely informed the group about prior to coming to Everlong
Mr. E tells the group that he can guarantee that none of the mercenaries he's identified to help are involved in any way and that all he knows of the murders in Everlong occurred primarily in the Three Doors Down district
Some more quick banter ensues, but Mr. E takes out his data pad and projects to the group all the contacts that are available to be hired
As the party leaves, they make way for Three Doors Down to try and investigate the murders and meet with Liandri - "Toxic" by Britney Spears
Qaplowski tries the old, ornery locals at a dive bar (with no luck), while Orbod purchases some herbal ingredients and manages to find out that some of the murders that occurred happen to be at the same building that Liandri is currently located at
Terofin and Earl see Liandri talking to a familiar face behind a shop counter, Greedy Fly - "Lazy Eye" by Silversun Pickups
Liandri flirts with the two, saying she's available to hire; they just need to "point and shoot" her to whatever task. She could not come down in her price because it's set for "a specific reason". It was ambiguous/ hard to determine if she was Human or not. To get in contact with her if they were to accept, she points to Greedy Fly as the means to reach her
Greedy Fly welcomes Earl and asks if he's looking for anything in particular. Earl without hesitation asks to see "special wares downstairs". Greedy Fly says but of course, but please do head down calmy and announced.
Terofin and Earl are greeted by Pheelae - "Feel Good Inc." by Gorillaz
Pheelae offers the pair the same deals he's offered in the past:
Purchase the rare artifacts at face value
Do Job #1 and get three items for free (each item comes with IOBO Extractor until the job is done)
Job entails simply planting a "surveillance bug" on the leader of Arlandria, Bray Godsil
Do Job #2 and get two items for free (each item comes with IOBO Extractor until the job is done)
Simply retrieve his missing artifacts (X-23 Defenders which are "missing", and the Phobos 12-SCG and Farsight EM where both were stolen from him)
Earl and Terofin do their "We'll Be Back" impression and leave for now
The day is over and the group is tired; they retire for the night with lounging provided from King Oma's court to pick things up the next day
Closing Song - "Head On Collision" by New Found Glory
