A rare species of the Superunknown, Metamorphs are essentially Insectoids. Products of rare instances when Essence randomly transforms ordinary insects into an insect/human hybrid. They typically keep a good amount of traits/features that they had as an insect. Very often these Metamorphs remain secluded and very instinctual, despite having the mental capacity for more, and become fearsome monsters any and everywhere. There are those that are able to overcome that state and learn more, even being able to integrate into society. They range in abilities since their form is dependent on what they were in a primitive state (spider, fly, scorpion, etc). There has been no known Essence user Metamorphs and it’s believed that their chance of gaining Essence is used up in their transformation. They have no formal settlements and are generally not received well in society.
