Walk the World

STOP PRESS!!!

Small Heroic Group of Save the Children Malvern Branch walkers complete their epic Walk to Syria

Having completed 2,463 miles of the 2,832 mile from London to Damascus last weekend and arrived in Lebanon, it left us with 469 miles to do this week.

We’ve had reports from Sara Ann and Peter Bradford - 55 miles, Andrea Bright - 43 miles, Doug Bright - 54 miles, Sara mcMahon - 29 miles, Mark Gibson 48 miles, Brenda and Paul Barker - 42 miles, Joan Gibson - 41 miles, Sue Johnston - 25 miles, Kathryn Bannister Harding - 35 miles, Annie Slade - 48 miles, Brenda Cooke - 74 miles, and Lindsay and Jim Richardson - 48 miles. This means that at the end of week 5 we’ve successfully completed our journey.

There may well be one or two people still to report and I’ll still add these as and when they come in.

I do need photos of you crossing “a finishing line” and drinking a celebratory glass of wine!!

We have raised £740 plus £125 Gift Aid so far. This is what is shown on our Just Giving page, plus £60 cash given to Sara Ann Bradford . So £925 in total.

There may well be people out there who will still sponsor us, to get us past the £1,000 mark.

They can donate to us at http://www.justgiving.com/team/MalvernBranch or give directly to Sarah Ann.

Congratulations to everyone.

What’s our next challenge?
