Save the Children Malvern Branch is sad about the news of the death of a long serving member.

Dorothea first joined the Committee in 1972 and quickly became Secretary a position she took several times.

In 1994 she received a long service award and again after 40 years, in 2012, she was again thanked and presented with another award.

Following the death of Margaret Slade another long term member she took over as President of Malvern Branch.

She was always a dedicated supporter of Save The Children and the Malvern Branch in particular. She will be particularly remembered for the copious amounts of Soda Bread that she provided for various fundraising activities…the recipe which she would never give away.

We will remember her for her gentle kindness and interest in all our activities.
