Collection raises over £1,000 thanks to the generosity of local people.

Member of Save the Children Malvern Branch were collecting for the Cyclone Idai Appeal outside Waitrose in Malvern on Saturday. The cyclone has devastated large areas of Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe leaving people homeless and without foodstuffs, clean water or other basic essentials.

President Andrea Bright said, “The response to our collection was amazing; people were so generous and we raised over £1,000 on the day.

"A further £260 has already been added to this from a Lent Lunch held by one of our supporters in Fladbury. We are also having a coffee morning in Colwall this coming Friday, so in total we hope to raise over £1,500.

"Once again thank you so much to everyone who has supported us”
