October 2018 - Halloween Pumpkin Carving

Each year I attempt to carve a new pumpkin design for Halloween. This year I decided to do the Heath Ledger version of the Joker from "Batman". I find the image on the internet and print it out in black and white. Then I cut out the areas of paper where I want the light to shine through. I then tape the stencil onto the pumpkin and draw around with permanent marker. Then it's a simple job to carve out the lit areas with a scalpel. Once the art is done, I scoop out the seeds from the inside. It's easier to do this once the artwork has been carved.
