Born to rock, roll and burn. Ashley Marshall likes heavy rock music, and likes it LOUD. She has been riding with biker gangs since she was a teen, and survived the initial outbreak thanks to her advanced riding skills. Like Rusty, she fell in naturally with the Raiderz, before she finally had enough of Tombstone’s lechery and struck off on her own. She relishes confrontation and there’s nothing she hates more than someone shooting their mouth off without being able to back it up. The Settlement rarely hears it, but Ash has a phenomenal singing voice. As Mike put it; voice of an angel, heart of a demon.

Chef is a phenomenal cook. Before the outbreak, people would stand in line for hours to get a taste of his streetside grill.
Even nowadays, he's still got the magic touch. Residents of the Settlement love his cooking and, despite the shortages, he's still dishing up delicious grub.
Chef's love of a good meal means he's got a strange opinion on the Infected, he always says "everybody's gotta eat."
Recently, what's been upsetting Chef is that even though he spends hours toiling behind the grill, he's still no nearer to getting in shape. He swears that "tomorrow" will be the day he starts exercising, but everybody's starting to wonder whether "tomorrow" will ever come.

Eva "Widow" Lopez was in-and-out of correctional facilities before ending up on death row for a brutal gang-related revenge killing. If you cross or offend her she won't respond straight away, but she will get you back. And her bite is fatal.

Whether tagging walls or taking the heads off Infected, Ghost is an artist at heart. His pursuit of beauty will never stop.
Ghost's marksmanship is superb, but he has a unique approach to battle. He makes sure that Infected who die by his hand are killed gracefully. He'll even goes so far as to sometimes position their bodies in artistic poses.
When defeat feels near, he has a habit of appearing out of nowhere, that's how he got his name. While Maddie admires Ghost's killing style, Rusty predictably doesn't think much of it. But everyone knows that Rusty really needs Ghost: he's the only one who appreciates Rusty's singing.

As a former CDC employee, Dr. Jarrett Taylor survived the outbreak in part due to his understanding of how infectious diseases spread. That, plus a dash of inside information and a whole lot of luck. He managed to escape the chaos of the city with his young daughter, Maya, after receiving preliminary data from some of the earliest infected areas. Their luck ran out a few months later when the small group of survivors that he and his daughter were living with were rounded up by a GigaCorp patrol and herded to a Dev Camp for human testing.
It was there, while strapped to a Dev Camp operating table, that Jarrett explained to the GigaCorp technician why the experiment they were going to perform on him was bound to fail. They realized he could be of use to them. Shortly thereafter, Maya was taken away and he was blackmailed into working in the Camp before managing to escape. The horrors of the Dev Camp still haunt him, but the hope that his daughter is still alive is all he needs to keep going.

Jeb Nelson spent his entire life within 20 miles of the house he was born in. That is, until the day a caravan of high-strung city folk turned up in their fancy cars bringing with them the infection that wiped out the entire town. He managed to escape in his trusty old pickup just in time, and later gave a ride to a hitchhiking Lucky. Jeb never did get around to learning to read too well, but he’s a natural when it comes to machines and was always tinkering with inventions in his old barn. Corporal Jonas P. Wolfe had been looking forward to some hard-earned R&R after a grueling military tour overseas. As it turned out, he stepped off the plane from one war zone into another. He was drafted immediately into the frontline of the Lockdown to help contain the outbreak. When order collapsed and government support went to ground, Wolfe eventually agreed to work with GigaCorp in exchange for a reliable supply of food and Biocaps. What he didn’t agree to was the testing he was forced to undergo on the Dev Camp operating tables. His “modification” as the scientists called it, has destroyed any chance of a normal life, but then that was long gone anyway. Due to his GigaCorp links, some Settlement members harbor suspicions and resentment towards him, but Wolfe's own anger towards the former tech giant burns greater than anybody's.

Rusty learnt his survival skills during a stint in a supermax prison. After the outbreak, he travelled for half a year with his bandmates. No one knows why he ended up leaving them.
