That's it, the fight is over, it's time to count your dead, but also your wounded, slightly wounded and survivors π
And why do I have so much more death than my ally?
We'll find out here.
The battles are well organized: the infantry goes to the front line, this unit is 4 times more resistance than the others (see units). Behind the cavalry and fighters fire and stay alive as long as the infantry protects them. This is why the infantry is so important, but alone it will not do any damage.
In the animations that can be seen in the game this organization is visible: The infantry gets attacked, while the other troops attack.
To understand how a battle is organized, I proceeded to a series of infantry attacks against infected levels.
Version 1.8.70 changed the way it worked before this release. There was this:
Since version 1.8.70 we have this:
First of all, the organization of the troops has changed. In the versions before 1.8.70 the attack was made on each third of troops, decreasing for the infantry and increasing for the others.
But since version 1.8.70 all thirds of each type is attacked at the same time. On the graph, you can see the T6 and T7 infantry troops die at the same time.
But the fight is always in this order:
The infantry begins to defend and is attacked by all the enemy's soldiers...
When there is no more infantry, the cavalry is attacked...
Then finally the hunters
We can see in the first phase that the infantry dies slowly and meanwhile the cavalry and fighters attack.
We also see that the cavalry and the hunters die very quickly, they are not very healthy compared to the infantry.
Comparison of the attack power / health of the troops in this battle
An explanation makes it clearer :
A dead man is dead... but in some cases you can pick them up at the recruiting office.
A wounded is going back to your colony to the hospital to be healed. He won't be available while he's there.
For a slightly wounded one, in the case of a bunker, capital or city reinforcement, he will return to your city and will no longer be in the occupied building but can be used for your next deployment. In other cases, it will be available again.
The survivors continue the fight.
It all depends on the result of the fight and the type of battle. Based on these two criteria, a ratio is used to determine the type of injury.
The different ratios according to the type of fight
β οΈ If your hospital is full then the wounded are killed!
π If you want to cause heavy damage to your opponent, it is possible to multiply the attacks to saturate his hospital, the wounded will then be killed (but some of them can be recovered in the recruiting office.
π You can use a first legion to make a lot of light wounded to reduce the troops on your target, even if it is still held, and a second legion close by to take the building thus emptied of its troops.
The example below shows the use of combat ratios on a legion attack. We can also see that the bad deal here is rather for the winner who has lost 35K troops.
The result is not exactly right, certainly due to rounding, but it is negligible.
[DHP]ChB attacks in legion the base of [FRA]jj coco and win
A ratio of 0%-35%-65% is used for [FRA]jj coco and 35%-10%-55% for [DHP]Chb
