With combined Foundation naval and air assets working heavily on reconnaissance-led strikes against any aircraft, vessel or entity that approaches PATHOS, a total exclusion zone spans 100km in diameter around the installation's primary sub-level entrance, spanning 31,000 feet.
Any vessel or aircraft is intercepted by Falcon-2 Reconnaissance Aircraft or one of the Foundations 4 Multirole Littoral Combat Frigates, and will be locked onto covertly by radar monitoring stations and the SCPS Olympus’s extensive command and control observations posting. A positive visual identification is attained by one of the Foundations means of forward reconnaissance and any intercepted signals are diverted to the Installation Command Safety & Wellness Center, where they are reviewed under emergency order by Intercom Supervisor Ms. Iris and RAISA analysts.
Upon positive identification of an unidentified aircraft, one of the following occurs:
In the event of a civilian aircraft coming within 25km of PATHOS, SCPS 'Caesar’ will launch a single, high speed air to air missile and strike down the aircraft within the exclusion zone to be collected by recovery aircraft.
If civilian aircraft leave the exclusion zone before reaching a 25km radius, they will be escorted by low-level stealth aircraft operated by Sigma-9 and will be detained by Xi-3 and Omega-20 for full amnestication to ensure any possible identification of the fleets location is destroyed or replaced with falsified memories.
In the event a civilian aircraft, or an aircraft belonging to an Air Force of the ‘non-anomalous world,’ Gamma-5 and the Intelligence Agency are to relocate the wreckage away from the exclusion zone and implement a full cover story.
In the event of a hostile UNGOC or GOI aircraft entering any part of the exclusion zone, 4 Sigma-9 stealth fighters and 2 Falcon-2 F-35Bs are to be scrambled from the SCPS Caesar and one of the aircraft carriers. Multiple A2A missiles are to be fired and the aircrafts destruction is to be properly identified by a Nu-7 or Nu-11 squadron moving on RHIBs.
Any GOC pilot who successfully ejects is to be detained, handed to the Internal Security Service and extracted for information.
In the event of any naval vessel approaching PATHOS, it is to be intercepted by one of the [4] shallow water attack submarines and sunk at the earliest opportunity, with a full cover story put into place. Guided Missiles may also be used if the submarines are not in strike range.
The Naval Fleet may not directly engage unless within full view to disguise its existence or to escape assault.
To enforce the Total Exclusion Zone surrounding PATHOS, an extensive minefield has been implemented below a depth of 5000 feet in the waters surrounding PATHOS. Very narrow ‘clear ways’ are all that remains; these ways are yet to be mapped by any GOI and are patrolled heavily by the Foundations 9 remaining attack submarines. With the help of the destroyers and frigates above the surface, the clearways often switch their position, making proper mapping of the area nearly impossible without Foundation resources and knowledge. This tactic has led to the amount of submarines reaching PATHOS to drastically drop following the Chaos Insurgency raid, however a singular vessel carrying DDA Consul ███████ ██████████ was sunk, resulting in his death and the death of multiple Delta-7 crewmembers. Sensors and Motion Scanners have begun to be implemented in more shallow areas within 30km of the exclusion zone, with intent on spreading further and going deeper as more resources arrive.
Other methodologies for the defense of the waters surrounding PATHOS are currently in review; it has also been debated that the clearways should be expanded or the mines removed altogether, due to the danger they may pose.
