The Engineering and Technical Services houses professionals in charge of ensuring that the Installation is optimally maintained so that it can maintain its obligations. The department members strive to enhance the performance of the facility's technology by following the maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment, as well as timely completion of scheduled dry dock repairs. They are responsible for meeting any critical gaps in technological needs.

They apply the principles of mathematics to develop solutions to technical problems as well. The staff there develop new products through an incredibly rigorous engineering design process; starting with blueprints.. During the process, they also consider several factors. These engineers supervise production in the facility through inspections and determine the causes of a component’s failure, coming with a solution.
