Delta-7 personnel undertook 3 months of accelerated training and are trained daily to remain in a constant state of readiness while conducting operations around PATHOS. In place of the old 2 battleships, 1 aircraft carrier and 1 destroy designated to defend the installation, the following carrier battle group has been activated:
The Foundations Flagship, developed by the Manufacturing Department, is defined as a multi-role vessel capable of acting as an aircraft carrier, troop carrier and guided missile platform. The Caesar is an incredible maritime feat and can carry over 5000 personnel.
Caesar is capable of carrying 156 Air to Surface Missiles and 32 Ship to Ship missiles which are capable of bypassing current anti-radar technology and can maintain a consistent lock on infrared signatures in spite of flares or electromagnetic countermeasures employed by UNGOC Multirole fighters.
Caesar currently carries a Joint Task Force of Nu-7 and Nu-11, comprising [2] QRF Battalions with Marine and Aircraft, totalling over 2,500 personnel. They often work in conjunction with other MTFs to provide rapid relief to PATHOS-III or to respond to any Foundation site or observation post that renders an emergency assistance request.
Due to the vulnerability of Site Upsilon, 200 Operatives from both battalions have received basic certification in short-term space travel by Mobile Task Force Rhino-8 Agents formerly deployed to the site, and are capable to respond to the site as a QRF rapidly by traversing unstable wormholes created by Lambda-5.
Caesar has a large air contingent operated by a Sigma-9 task force in conjunction with Nu-7 helicopter pilots, defined in the Aerial Defense section.
Technical Research Ship operated by the Intelligence Agency and Gamma-5.
SCPS Olympus acts as a primary command and control ship with SCPS Ceaser that identifies inbound maritime threats, as well as unauthorized civilian crafts - it dispatches RHIBs or Helicopters carrying Gamma-5 operatives to disseminate any knowledge of the Foundations fleet, or orders fire upon naval and aerial threats.
SCPS Olympus is capable of identifying any submarine within 20,000 square feet beneath it, forcing submarines to dive down and risk striking mines or being intercepted should they not wish to face destruction.
Olympus currently holds [2] Localized Reality Field Generators, which provides general defense from attacks by those exploiting teleporting, unstable spacetime and portals to attack the Carrier Battle Group.
[15] Lambda-5 Operatives are currently posted on the SCPS Olympus alongside Naval Combat Engineers from Delta-7, certified by the Engineering & Technical Services, to maintain the LRFGs and intercept any anomalous threat who attempts to directly assault the fleet via unconventional means.
Whereas the SCPS Caesar carries contingents of Sigma-9, the Aircraft Carriers have the sole mission of Aerial Defense, carrying Falcon-2 assets tasked with combat operations within the Foundations Naval Exclusion Zone.
The carriers each have [6] CIWS and [24] S2A Missiles for self defense.
The ships are primarily designated as missile platforms, however are also capable of firing anti-submarine munitions and have forward facing 127mm cannons.
One of the destroyers, designated SCPS ‘Inspiration’ has had its 127mm cannon swapped for a railgun, under the direct supervision of a joint workforce between the Site Alpha Research Division, Manufacturing Department, Delta-7 combat engineers and Engineering & Technical Services.
Due to its unpredictable nature and the need for constant monitoring, the railgun is yet to be used in direct maritime combat.
MLCFs are another vessel created by the manufacturing department primarily developed for the purposes of anti-submarine warfare, fleet reconnaissance, anti-mining and mine laying capabilities. Attached directly to the SCPS Olympus, they move ahead of the primary battle group and provide information on any incoming vessels to guide Falcon-2 and Sigma-9 aircraft onto thm.
MLCFs are renowned for being rather lightweight in anti-ship weaponry, but are noted for extensive countermeasures and intensive speed. They are also capable of imitating vessels from actual nations.
The frigates exist with the primary goal of providing a general escort for the battle group, while also serving as escort vehicles capable of breaking off to intercept vessels within the exclusion zone
[14] Attack Submarines
4 submarines are constantly posted alongside the Surface Fleet, whereas the rest patrol the ‘clearways’ at differing depths defined below.
Submarines are ordered to engage anyone within the foundation's naval exclusion zone. [5] of the submarines are posted within strike range of the SCPS Olympus to act as a rapid interception and strike force against any surface or subsurface vessel approaching PATHOS.
The other [9] submarines patrol narrow ‘clearways’ and constantly search for unauthorized vessels between a depth of 20,000 and 31,000 feet in an effort to destroy them. They also provide positive identification and intelligence on any vessel destroyed by the expansive mine network directly above PATHOS.
[2] of these submarines are dedicated to the escort of transport vessels.
The guided missile submarines are directed by Command and Control staff at PATHOS’s installation Command and onboard SCPS Caesar that guide cruise, surface to ship and surface to ground missiles onto targets at a distance.
Gamma-5 works in direct support of the guided missile submarines operations in providing cover up stories for any strikes that occur outside of the Foundations naval exclusion zone.
The transport submarines have a very limited self defense and radar capability and are primarily used to transfer critical resources and personnel to the installation. Unlike the attack submarines, they hold a minimal amount of weapons and are much larger meaning they are much easier to detect however may carry heavy amounts of cargo.
[2] of these submarines are currently in use by the Logistics Department and Manufacturing Department.
[1] of the submarines is in operation by Delta-7 and transports Foundation Personnel between PATHOS and the surface fleet.
[1] submarine is operated by the Site Alpha Security Corps for transfer of critical resources for the site's operation. It is also partially used by Overwatch Command for the transport of resources they do not wish to store on conventional submarines.
