The Rapid Response Team is a combatant unit specializing in dealing with all kinds of situations and having all the necessary equipment to do so.
They are the most specialized group of combatants in the entire Foundation, consisting of only the best, of the best, of the best, and so on.
These people are picked EXTREMELY carefully. Not only the physical part counts, but the mental one as well, and other factors, due to all the horrors residing within the walls of Site Alpha; and if even the Internal Security Department fails on doing something, then you must assume it’s something very serious, something only the most capable people in the entire world can respond to.
They are equipped with every equipment update you can imagine to deal with every type of these situations; Gas leak, a SUBJECT breached, an SCP gets in Alpha, a trespasser gets in Alpha, there is a rogue ISD, etcetera etcetera etcetera.
For this, each member is put into a squad to ensure that every member is specialized in their own field and ensure a better response.
The Response Initiative Directorate is the 2nd-in-Command of the sub-branch and has a cap of 2. Further details are classified entirely. They are part of the command team.
The Executive Chief is the 3rd-in-Command of the Rapid Response Team, deciding executive orders, separation of squads, administration, and many more (classified) duties. These people handle all records for every decision in the department, including promotions, removals, demotions, squad transfers, etcetera. These people are lower command in the Site Alpha command team.
A Chief Operating Officer are those personnel who are part of the Medium Command of the department and must act as such. As the name suggests, they supervise and oversee the lower ranked personnel in the Rapid Response Team and are responsible for handling the duties a Medium Command member is responsible for, as well as carrying out any administrative orders their superiors tell them to. Supervisory Officers lead a squad.
The Rapid Response Sergeant is a handpicked rank that a member of the department can get if they show potential, skill, strategic expertise, mentally prepared, among many other things. These members are higher in the hierarchy when in many operations, however, in the aforementioned high clearance or specialized scenarios, they are under the Chief Operating Officer and can’t command anyone, as only this rank and above is allowed to attend unless directly ordered by the Defense Coordinator.
A Response Specialist Operative is a member who is now entirely a member of the department and is trained in responding to a handful of situations. However, they are not able to attend the high clearance scenarios or those that require specialists to ensure that there are no mess-ups.
The Rapid Response Operative is a member who has been almost fully recruited into the department, and yet, still requires a bit more of training. However, they can now attend operations, but stay in the lines on the back. Along with this, they need permission from a Chief Operating Officer to do so. Rapid Response Operatives will be placed in a squad in which they will remain in until they get promoted to Executive Chief, removed, demoted or transferred.
A Rapid Response Recruit is someone who has been, as the name suggests, recently recruited in the Rapid Response Team and is yet to pass a probationary phase. If they fail their probationary phase, they will be given amnestics and transferred to ISD (However, it is more than likely that they just get a bullet in the head). They are not allowed to do anything other than restlessly train (both physically and psychologically) for any kind of scenario that can be presented. This is for them to be tested and see if they can handle the pressure and stress. Trainings may also include physical torture for them to learn not to differentiate pain from a single itch and psychological torture for their brain to be mentally prepared for any situation as they are trained to keep it blank.
