Practice before the next class
π Practice one of the health passages carefully.
We use our hands every day. Our hands touch many thingsβmoney, books, doors, and food. Sometimes, hands carry germs that can make us sick. It is very important to wash your hands with soap and water. Wash your hands before eating and after using the toilet. You can also use hand sanitizer when water is not available. Clean hands help protect your health and the health of others. Washing your hands is simple, but it can save lives.
When you feel hot, tired, and weak, you may have a fever. Fever is when your body temperature goes up. It is a sign that something is wrong in your body. Use a thermometer to check your temperature. If it is very high, you should go to the clinic or hospital. Do not wait. Drink clean water, rest, and do not take medicine unless a nurse or doctor says it is right. Always listen to health workers and obey their advice.
Your body needs good food to stay strong. Eat different types of food like rice, yam, beans, vegetables, and fruits. Avoid eating too much sugar, salt, or oily food. Drinking clean water is also important. A healthy diet helps children grow, and adults stay active. Some people eat very little or eat the same food every day. That is not adequate. Eating a variety of food helps your body get all the nutrients it needs.
