The unit introduces you to how to make some basic inquiries in GhSL. The desired facial expression for signing interrogative pronouns (WH-questions) and Yes or No responses will be explored.
At the end of this topic, you will be able to;
Identify and sign WH words in GhSL
Recognise and respond to Yes or No questions in GhSL
Use interrogative pronouns to make some basic inquiries in GhSL.
Sign almost all the lesson vocabulary.
Apply the basic grammar rules to GhSL communication.

Practice: begin a conversation in GSL with a friend (see pages 26 of the book 'Introduction to Sign Language' for a conversation sample)
Read: Log in to myclass.knust.edu.gh and read the facial expression required for asking yes or no questions and Wh questions in GSL. Also, read about the basic grammar rules for GSL communication. (Alternatively, read pages 25, 33, and 34 of the book Introduction to Sign Language for the same information.)
Create a sign name: Connect to the deaf community for a sign name or talk to your course instructor about how to create a sign name.
