The first record was at Prestwick Carr in September 1832 when two were shot on differing days. Further individuals met the same ending there in June 1839 and September 1845. Town Moor in Newcastle also hosted three singles in May 1843, 1835 and 1844 during September. Only one other occurred prior to 1950 and that was one at Newton-by-the-Sea in September 1898.
