Grey Phalarope

The first record was of one obtained at Embleton about 1823. A further three records were without month, while another one was recorded as early summer 1896 and also, one in autumn 1877, otherwise monthly occurrences as per graph.

Two individuals have made it inland: one at Harbottle Lough in July 1979 and another at Ponteland in September 1957, otherwise mainly coastal for this pelagic wanderer.
