The Saskatoon Umpires Association (SDBUA) and The Trust have created an umpire award. This award is supposed to be awarded to an umpire that exhibits qualities that Quinn did when he umpired. Matt Schule, president of SDBUA, states it this way. "An extraordinary individual who brings fun, laughter and positivity to the diamond. This individual is viewed by the membership as an individual that people look forward to working with due to the experience, warmth and genuine enjoyment that is certain to exist."
This plaque will be awarded to the For the Love of the Game recipient. There also will be a keeper plaque and a cash gift.

Logan Nugant is the 2025 Quinn Stevenson For the Love of the Game award recipient. Logan played baseball against Quinn. We have gotten to know Logan well since Quinn's passing. We can't think of anyone more deserving!
Aaron Szejvolt is the 2024 Quinn Stevenson For the Love of the Game award recipient. Thanks for all you for the Saskatoon umping community!
Aaron Szejvolt is the 2024 Quinn Stevenson For the Love of the Game award recipient. Thanks for all you for the Saskatoon umping community! He was officially presented the award at the 2025 Quinn Stevenson Tournament.
Scott Mills is the 2023 Quinn Stevenson For the Love of the Game award recipient. Congratulations Scott.
Scott Mills is 2023 recipient of the For the Love of the Game Award. Scott was presented the award and his cheque at the Quinn Stevenson Memorial 18U Tournament on May 24th. His keeper plaque was officially presented to him at the July 25th Berries game.
Ken Buchy is the 2022 Quinn Stevenson For the Love of the Game award recipient. Logan Nugent (SDBUA Vice President) talked about Ken early in the awards portion of the SDBUA AGM. He mentioned that working with Ken is always enjoyable. Not only is he a great baseball official, but always keeps everyone laughing and makes it fun to be on the diamond with him. This is exactly what hockey and baseball officials commented on what it was like to work with Quinn the official. Congratulations Ken.
Gary Dodds is this years Quinn Stevenson For the Love of the Game award recipient. As Matt Schule's (SDBUA) post indicates, Gary is a dedicated official who truly has a passion for umpiring and giving back to the baseball community. Bonny and I presented the award (see video), but Gary, believe it or not, was unable to attend because he was officiating volleyball. Thanks Gary and Congratulations.
The co-winners of this years For the Love of the Game Award are Heath Muggli and Maris Brons. They are both very deserving winners and we very happy that us and SDBUA can share this award with Heath and Maris.
