Blackdagger

Ancient but functional ruins of the original settlement of Neverwinter, Blackdagger. Now a small settlement surrounding the blacklake district in the distant northwest, this region houses those who don't want to live in the heart of the chaotic city, but still appreciate the wilderness of Karkana and the Blighted Plateau. Individuals are well protected out here, not by any form of vanguard or laws, but by each other.

The Ruins

#blackdagger

The infamous ruins of Blackdagger and the Blacklake district. These ruins are considered by many residents of Neverwinter to be some of the creepiest ancient architecture they have ever happened across, and for good reason to. They aren't all concentrate into one area, being spread out across the entire district and into the surrounding valleys, and most if not all of the buildings are only partially intact.

The ruins are the remains of the ancient settlement which existed here before Neverwinter was built in full, a conceptualisation designed by the original architect of the city to allow him to visualise just what the city would look like when it came into full flourish.

The ruins are 'eerie' for their close resemblance to the present day Neverwinter, but because of how ancient and empty they are, like an empty shelled clone of the tremendous city known so well to the rest of the world.

The Blacklake District

#blacklake-district

The main point of residence within blackdagger, the blacklake district surrounds the Blacklake of Neverwinter, a large lake filled with water so murky it turns an extremely dark green colour- black towards the bottom, a fitting name. Despite it's dark appearance, this district isn't dangerous at all, and in fact houses some of the friendliest individuals in the city.

Although a part of the ruins of Blackdagger, most of the buildings within the Blacklake district have been restored to full functionality by its residents. All of them have collectively built a community they can feel welcome in, away from the dangers of the heart of Neverwinter, while still getting to live in the same beauty the region is so well known for.
