A dark, dank dimension of decaying swampland, host to all kinds of undead species from all different realms. Traversing can be difficult without select antidotes to the corruption and decaying energy present within these thick swamps.
The Peat dimension is a dark and slimy dimension, one built entirely on swamps of different kinds, connected into a huge ecosystem of corruption and decay. The corruption within the dimension proves to have no threat towards it, and is merely a connected part of the ecosystem.
The waters, although dark and often releasing unusually thick steam, prove to not be dangerous towards any living being. They're extremely boggy, and the beds are thick with layers upon layers of mud, and can make it difficult to traverse the dimension in areas of extremely high water or bog.
The dimension features many unique trees, as well as some... ''Peatified'' versions of trees and plants from the overworld. This, coupled with the common species of plants found in swamplands (Vines, bog weeds, reeds, cattails, lilypads, pitcher plants etc.) makes the ecosystem of foliage extremely diverse. More details on the plants found here can be found on the ''foliage'' page.
The animals of the Peat are likely the most terrifying part of the entire dimension. From crow like birds who's lifespan is a mere visible seconds of birth from mud, flight and then immediate decay; to giant shapeshifting toads; to large swamp leviathans tangling themselves throughout the different bogged trees.
A common theme can be found among the species of the Peat which differentiates them from all other places within the world: Rapid decay. Although not present in every single creature within this dimension, the vast majority of life found within its ecosystems features some form of rapid decay or corruption.
It isn't uncommon for animals here to have skeletons, organs, flesh and muscles and other such features to be on open display and vulnerable. This removes from the vast majority's lifespan and physical strength- but definitely adds to their intimidation. It's through intimidation rather than survivability that most of the species here survive.
The Achrellago is an ancient civilization which once inhabited this dimension, completely and blissfully unaware of the surrounding world's and dimensions. They believe that the Peat was the only world which existed- and they hated it. Hated the fact that they felt they were being punished by an unknown source, claimed they felt they were being watched by figures hidden within the thick mists.
Now, all that remains of this civilization are ancient ruins of their homes, temples, towers and even rocky castles. All of them are free to explore, though the vast majority of them within the closest explored radius have been looted of their artefacts and history by archaeologists.
A lot of this dimension remains unexplored, and a lot of its history, although mostly secretive, still remains true to this day. Many people who explore this dimension claim the exact same thing as the inhabitants of Achrellago claimed: The feeling of being watched, by something within the mists.
