This unusual organisation revolves itself around the belief of the legendary Shadow Oasis dimension, a dimension unseen by humanoid eyes. Many believe it to not exist, and some speculate, but Vox Solaris heavily believe it exists and even actively hunt it on the regular.
Vox Solaris is an unusual religious collective formed many years ago, way before magitek had taken the world by storm, during the great gold rush of Albor Valley. This collective based itself around the belief that there was an alternate plane of reality, which they dubbed the Shadow Oasis, a dark realm of treasures where anything they willed was possible.
Sitting in a perfect star shape on completely opposite ends of the valley are four ring shaped portal frames, as depicted on their symbol. In the very centre of the valley, and the centre of these portal frames, lies a large pillar where the collective built and formed their temple of worship to the dimension.
It's here that even to this day they try and investigate into the existence of the Shadow Oasis. Ancient treasures and scriptures have been consistently uncovered throughout the years suggesting the existence of this dimension, yet even still no solid evidence or signatures of the dimension have been discovered, leaving it to remain a mere folkstale for the locals.
In all pieces of ancient scripture, painting and treasure, the Shadow Oasis has been depicted as an infinitely obtuse dimension of treasures, literally a giant oasis within the desert. Paintings on ancient sandstone tablets have shown a large water garden with a red sky and peach coloured waters, vibrant green and yellow plants surrounding the entire valley. Paintings of giant insects and unusual animals have also been found unlike anything which would be found in the overworld.
Some believe these paintings to merely be based off of the ancient desert and what used to be here. It's a well known fact that the Hakemian desert used to be entirely drowned in ocean, which caused a surrounding region of Albor Valley to become bogged down oases which could explain the difference in landscape and the abundance of animals no longer found thanks to the change of climate, but this doesn't explain the portal frames which contain ancient scripture of similar depiction and description.
In addition to this, the tower which Vox Solaris' base of operations is constructed around tells the story of what they believe to be the first and only person to have experienced the Shadow Oasis first hand. The story describes a story of no danger and complete freedom unlike anything the overworld could offer, with huge deposits of silver and gold lying everywhere the eye could see: In the water, in the mountains, even on the plants. The sky is said to be filled with numerous different planets of close proximity, and is constantly in an eternal state of twilight, the sky indefinitely dancing in a state of sunset.
The major belief surrounding the Shadow Oasis in present times is that it maintains a constant flow of treasures and gold deposits flowing through into the overworld, especially in Albor Valley. Unlike the times described dating back before the Shadow Oasis' discovery, gold seems to be indefinitely abundant and never seems to run out. Many even claim that their gold mines constantly refill no matter how much they mine it out, but these haven't been confirmed and many others call folkstale.
Vox Solaris follows no particular leader, believing the Shadow Oasis to be their overarching saviour.
