Power, uprising and removal of dark influences, the Emerald Crown is a small, elusive organisation which prides itself on giving individuals living within Neverwinter (especially around Seven Suns) the protection and safety they deserve.
The Emerald Crown is a small organisation centred around Neverwinter which prides itself on ensuring the inhabitants of the city, especially those within Seven Suns, are kept safe; protected; and have the life that they deserve. While this is the main premise of the organisation, there are also individuals who simply follow the organisation to either show their support for it, or as people who are struggling themselves and are seeking organisation recognition.
Founded about 10 years ago, this organisation has to remain almost entirely elusive. Discovery from anyone regarding the political control of Neverwinter may prove to be fatal not just to the organisation but the people within it. As such, all of their business as organisation representatives is done either with false names, or entirely anonymous.
Those who take part in this organisation stay in numerous different locations around the globe, and find that outside of Neverwinter, the vast majority of cities and settlements agree with them. Secrecy is maintained worldwide, an entirely undercover organisation by every means of the word, though outside of Neverwinter it isn't kept as secret. In other parts of the world, and sometimes even under the noses of Neverwinter's darkest, the organisation is advertised as being an enforcement organisation of local nature and settlements. Of course, this isn't true, and anyone who knows this will be guided to the organisation through sets of varying guidance riddles.
Entering the organisation, and even finding out about the truth of the organisation, can be a long feat. If an individual isn't directly invited into the organisation, they have to find their own way to the organisation through the many riddles provided by organisational advertisement. The one thing which makes this recruitment process unique is that every single advertisement leads to an entirely unique and separate web of riddles and guidance to the previous. Each one is unique, and no string of riddles is identical. Everyone must find their own path.
Upon finding their way to the organisation itself, or managing to get in contact with someone from the organisation, individuals are then passed through a test of secrecy before being branded with a tattoo of the crown somewhere on their body. This is small and easy to conceal, though. Many opt to have it done on the back of their necks or legs, hidden entirely from view.
While the organisation does pride itself on being the best it can be for those struggling within the dark city, some individuals of the group act about as questionable as the city commoners do, if not worse. A separate guild within the organisation was created for these individuals, designated ''The Ruby Tiara'. Those who take part in this separate guild typically find themselves utilising the same ''luxury chaos'' which the city's commonfolk do, such as: Thievery, Griefing, Rioting, Arson and Scamming/Phishing
The vast majority of the Emerald Crown find a heavy distate in this guild, but accept it as a necessary part of them. If the organisation didn't have a separate guild which openly displayed this behaviour, the chances of them being caught by the Vanguard, or the townsfolk, would be much higher. They ensure the organisations main ideals can be kept a secret without suspicion or questioning. Despite the Emerald Crown disliking this guild, they will still use whatever they collect from their schemes for the betterment of the organisation, something which many find to be a questionable practise, but the majority shrug off.
Regularly, about once a month, members of the organisation will congregate in the Skyfire, the organisations main base 0f operations. During this time, they collectively discuss their progress, each individual member is given the same opportunity to share their achievements and stories of the month and they set to planning for their next steps. Introductions to recently recruited members will also occur during this time.
The Skyfire is the local base of operations at the Emerald Crown, a huge tower situated in the far north of the city, hidden completely under an enchantment spell which hides it upon the cliff. Those within the organisation are given direct access to the incantation of this spell, allowing them to access the enchantment and see the tower. Those who do not have the incantation will not be able to see or access the tower, even if they walk in range of it.
The tower is sculpted almost entirely out of emerald- cut and smoothened to allow it to make the perfectly strengthened structure. Of course, the walls aren't pure emerald as it simply isn't an effective building material, but they are coated in the green gemstone giving it a distinctive look unlike no other building in Neverwinter.
The higher ups of the organisation claim this to be symbolism of their denial.
The Emerald Crown was founded and is owned by an Emerald Wyrex (a species of crystal scaled dragonic which fittingly has emeralds for scales) simply known to the members of the organisation as ''Precious.''
