The Harlequin toad is an unusual, giant two-toned toad found in The Peat dimension. This toad is usually red and green in colouration, and is a master of deception and disguise. Although passive to humanoids, this toad mercilessly hunts whatever it can consume in numerous different forms- for it is a shapeshifter.

The toad is capable of turning into numerous different forms based on what it can see, what it can imagine or what it believes is appropriate for a situation. The most common forms it takes on are that of Peat crows, anglerfish, snails and crabs and sometimes even other Harlequin toads.

On the extremely rare occasion, these toads will be born with the ability to hypnotise their prey, but this is at the cost of their shapeshifting ability. A toad cannot be a shapeshifter and hypnotist at once, but the reason for this is unknown.
