Oraga's Orchid Nectar

Found in: Oraga's Orchid
Used in: Healing potions, brews and desserts

On its own, it has a taste and appearance similar to typical honey, with a bright red colour and a faint pink glow. It's extremely sticky, and is sometimes used as a side ingredient in dessert dishes as a substitute to caramel or sugar - a healthier sweetener of sorts.

Mongoola Sap

Found in: Giant Mongoola
Used in: Healing brews, drinks and foods | additionally as a building cement

The thick golden sap of the giant Mongoola tree, this sap is used as an applicant in numerous different creations. Most commonly used as a building cement, it also doubles up as a delicacy and can be cooked into a caramel-like substance. It can also be applied as a flavouring to drinks, such as the image to the left, creating a lemon coloured fluid.

Correct preparation for this sap is key due to its viscosity. Consuming high amounts of raw Mongoola sap can plug an individual up, and it's never nice to have tree-made indigestion.

Maive Paste

Found in: Maive Berries
Used in: Healing Salves, Body butters and beauty products

This smooth, cream coloured paste is made from the brightly coloured Maive berry, a renowned berry known not only for its flavour but for its amazing applications in body based pastes and spreads. Not only is it good when applied in healing salves, but it also works well as a natural body butter or moisturiser.

Additionally, Maive Paste is an entirely edible substance, and is described as tasting a lot like a lemon meringue pie.

Emberpetal Pollen

Found in: Emberpetal Flowers
Used in: Heat based brews and drinks

Needing to always be converted into liquid form before use, Emberpetal Pollen is the burning pollen of the Emberpetal flower, found growing in the Undead Swamps during the summer seasons. On its own, this pollen can't provide much to an individual other than a slightly warming sensation. It's sometimes used as an additive in teas, but this can make the tea feel especially spicy or hot, and so isn't found often among mortal individuals.

When applied into a brew with the correct ingredients, the pollen can cause a reaction which will instead create a protective sheen. When consumed, this will give the person a varying degree of resistance to heat, flames, magma and miasma depending on the contents and how much pollen, and other ingredients, is used.

On its own, it has a taste similar to peppers, or like eating cinnamon in liquid form.

Miasma Extract

Found in: Miasma
Used in: Heat, void and transformation brews

An unusually viscous, colourful substance resembling the inside of a lava lamp, Miasma Extract is a purified version of molten Miasma, a hot purple/blue substance found deep underground or in specialised Grokdruls. It's been found that this extract is an especially key component in the creation of most brews, especially heat and void based.

Additionally, this extract can be enchanted in an enchanter, which seems to provide it with advanced healing properties at the cost of burning any other relevant healing brew ingredients. It's through this that a specialised brew had to be created, resulting in the invention of the 'Tears of Space' healing brew, the most advanced healing brew in existence.

This liquid is also used as a replacement or additive to normal lava lamp fluids, removing from the need to make a complex magnetic or electrical system.

Spirit Quicksilver

Made by: Combining Spirit Mana water and Liquid Mercury (Quicksilver)
Used in: Quicksilver brew

Having an identical appearance to normal Quicksilver, or Liquid Mercury, Spirit Quicksilver is a combination of said liquid mercury and Spirit mana water. This provides the main body of the Quicksilver Brew, and gives it its distinct Liquid Mercury appearance.

This Spirit mana water present within this compound also provides it with its signature glow. Although slightly lower than what the final brew gives out, and only visible in the dark, it's still certainly a wondrous sight to behold.

Rift Oil

Found: Lining the edges of specialised rifts, or leaking from them
Used in: Void based brews and substances

An extremely stretchy, viscous substance with a dark blue and purple glittery texture, Rift Oil is a discharge from naturally occurring rifts which is a key component in most void and rift based brews and components. It's completely safe to touch, and emits a soft glow.

It can be regularly farmed from naturally occurring rifts found in the world, or by making rifts under a proper license to collect it.

Xacatl Extract

Made by: Smelting and grinding Xacatl rocks
Used in: Xacatl Essence

The brightly coloured white and purple molten extract made from melting and grinding down Xacatl mineral rocks or crystals. This substance is the only known substance in the world which can effectively accelerate the growth of any plant with a 100% success rate.

This is believed to originate from the high magical mineral content found within the Xacatl rocks and minerals. It's extremely easy to make and with the right tools and ingredients, anyone can make homemade Xacatl extract without even having to purchase the components.

Karkanan Giant Hornet honey

Produced by: Karkanan Giant Hornets
Used in: Food products, local brews and beauty products

An extremely sweet, viscous form of honey produced by Karkana's local giant hornets, huge hornets growing up to 1 meter in length. This honey is safely collected by hornets which offer themselves up to individual honey farms in return for protection from the dangerous wilds of Karkana.

This honey can be used in numerous creations: Potions, beauty products and food articles are the most common of which. It's the most prized natural product found in Karkana, especially around Neverwinter, and can be sold on its own in tall jars and urns for anywhere between 200-300 gold. Smaller amounts aren't worth as much however, which is why the potions and articles its included in aren't quite so expensive.

It can also be eaten on its own or used as an alternative to sugars.

Eischra Paste

Found in: Eischra Cattails
Used in: Healing salves, body butters and beauty products

A more potent natural paste than the Maive paste, the Eischra Paste is a lilac coloured paste created from mixing cream and Eischra cattails together. Although similar, this paste is much stronger than Maive Paste and can reach much deeper to wounds, making it extremely important in Eischra healing Salve.

It's this potency, however, which makes it much more expensive, and as such individuals who want to use a salve over a potion have to make the decision between more potency but more gold, or less potency and less gold.

Void Paste

Made with: Rift oil and natural creams
Used in: Void based applicants and brews or beauty products

An unusual, purple and glittery coloured powdery paste, Void Paste is an extremely popular but expensive to make creamy paste which can be used in numerous different applicants. Unlike the pastes used in healing salves, this paste lacks healing properties, however it does have rifting capabilities from its origins of the components.

In beauty products, this rifting capability can get deep into the skin through ethereal movement, in which it can travel through a person entirely without ever coming into contact with them. This can be changed depending on the thickness of the paste, and creators have learned to change it to their will to get it the perfect depth for the skin.

Additionally, it's key in the Whisper of the Void potion for its teleportation properties. These aren't active when it's the paste alone, but the components activate it and allow the potion to work as it should.
