Leprechauns

Leprechauns are small, gnome sized creatures which run around casting charms and curses on people. Usually they can be found in professions such as running banks or magic spell emporiums and libraries for their love of money and magic, though sometimes they’ll run around trying to be street performers with their charms for extra gold.

Sometimes they can be found attempting to impersonate genies, often offering people 3 wishes, but instead of giving them physical illusions to fulfill their wishes, they simply give them three good luck charms. While this does make the person they charmed incredibly lucky, it doesn’t give them the wishes they asked for, and can often lead to hatred towards Leprechauns as a whole for being the tricksters they are, but for the most part they’re liked for their worth ethic and ability to keep things, especially money, well organised.

Well known for their extreme magical knowledge, it can be extremely difficult to outplay a Leprechaun. With their heightened levels of natural luck, hyperactivity from their entirely candy filled diet and extremely knowledge in the art of charming these little creatures are the pinnacle of cheekiness.

Although disliked by the majority of society for this cheekiness they exhibit, many still enjoy them for their bubbly and welcoming nature. An evil leprechaun is an extremely rare thing to come across, as much as one with bad intent. Even if they have questionable ways of progressing through their work, they still always manage to get it done... Sometimes.

The diet of a leprechaun is entirely candy based. No regular food, no magical food, just heaps and heaps of candy and sugar of all different kinds. It's this diet which keeps their energy and activity up to extreme levels, but doesn't put their bodies at risk because of.. Well, luck. Using their magical energy, they keep their bodies in tip top condition both actively and passively, making it impossible for a Leprechaun to become unhealthy by diet and lack of exercise.

An unlucky Leprechaun is an extremely rare but possible phenomenon in which instead of being brightly coloured and cheery, the Leprechaun will be entirely monochrome and constantly feeling blue. Everywhere they go something is bound to go wrong, and everything they touch is bound to break, causing their conditions to merely get even worse. Most unlucky leprechauns receive help from their common lucky counterparts, with some even offering to escort them everywhere they go for their safety.
