Dragonics

Dragonics are a species group of characters who are, as their name suggests, dragons. Humanoid in figure, with dragon heads, skinned wings and large, scaly tails, Dragonics are masters at the craft of being brutish, second only to Scorchers. Typically Dragonics use forms of elemental magic, as well as large, shattering melee weapons from swords to hammers.

Originating in the town of Oya, or 'city of dragons', Dragonics are often travellers, choosing to leave Oya when they come of age to go in search of a more suitable home, either for partners, to find friends, or to try and give themselves a purpose to life. Many Dragonics are born into nests of up to 10 eggs, but usually only 5 survive, and then even less from there. Competition in Dragonic families is always huge, and those who survive to full growth and die a natural death are usually seen as holy beings among other Dragonics.

Elemental Dragonic

Elemental Dragonics were the first of the Dragonics that showed themselves in the Quiazal universe. These Dragonics showed to excel in the art of using Nativus magic, from fire and water to more complex airstone and magmus forgery magic. Their powerful, brutish nature made them perfect candidates for the Neverwinter Vanguard, as well as policing the streets of Oya.

The chitinous scales on their skin seem to change per individual based on what their magic type is, for example, a fire elemental Dragonic will have thick, tough scales almost like rocks, while a water elemental Dragonic’s scales will have scales more resemblant of a fish. This provides them with the appropriate protection needed against whatever element it is they use. Using a magic that isn’t of their element threatens to harm them, should they use it too much. Much like regular dragons, Dragonics have the ability to use a breath power, which allows them to expel whatever their element type is out of their mouth.

Standing on average about 8ft tall and weighing up to 230lbs, these Dragonics will be found mostly in Oya and Neverwinter, roaming around as either police, or the Neverwintian Vanguard.

Phoenix Wyrex

Phoenix Wyrexes are the smallest of the Wyrex genus, being mostly wingless and relying on their weapons, horns and tails more than magical abilities. Just like all other dragonics, the Phoenix Wyrex is capable of using a breath power, however it also possesses the ability to completely set itself on fire (Phoenix Flame) which is where it earned its name, making it temporarily untouchable.

These dragonics are strong believers in the need for power, only being as brutish as they are because they believe anything else to be showing weakness. Along with this they’re incredibly passionate about being against the domestication of dragons, and will often threaten to attack, kill or raid anyone who has a dragon has a companion.

Standing at a short 5-7ft, these dragonics originated and remain in Neverwinter unless going out on an expedition. On some occasions they’ll cross through to Oya city to assist the elementals and others in policing or eliminating threats.

Lightning Baloosa

The Lightning Baloosa is a small, electronic type Dragonic with scales in different shades of yellow and white which excel in the art of electrical manipulation. These Dragonics tend to be very enclosed and keep to themselves or in pairs, enjoying spending a lot of time hunting around libraries or potion stores, looking for books to improve their spell casting or potions to make themselves stronger.

Their exiled, quiet upbringings and pass-times make them the wisest of the Dragonics, acting much less of brutes than their brethren and choosing to go through combat with a more conversative and pacifist approach, attempting to always see the good and bad in both sides to come to a conclusion of equilibrium.

Keeping mostly to Oya, but sometimes roaming around Far Peaks and Neon District, these Dragonics are usually 4-5ft in height, being the most physically weak of the Dragonics but making up for that in intelligence and wisdom that the others lack.
