Chimeras

Chimeras are the strangest species group of Quiazal, being comprised completely of Chimeric Humanoids - creatures which are a mix of animals and people - as their name suggests. They're the perfect equilibrium between magically and physically enhanced, knowing how to use both magic and physical attacks to their advantage in all manner of situations.

While many types of chimerics can be based on any kind of animal, be it through blood, mannerisms or physical appearance, most seem to typically be different types of canidae, felidae, reptilian or hoofed mammal. Each have their own different range of abilities and biological weapons, from abnormally sharp teeth and vision to heavy kicking hoofs and long appendages.

Common Chimera

Common Chimerics are unusual, yet surprisingly common, species which combine both a person and an animal together to create a humanoid chimera. This animal can be any animal in particular, and the person normally gains their most renowned features: Eyes, any horns, ears, leg shapes, claws, scales and sometimes even fur. The appearance of a chimeric changes from person to person, and there is no set look for how a certain chimera might look.

The chimerics are known as chimerics because, as their name suggests, they're chimera - which by literal definition is a creature which combines the DNA of two creatures to make a single creature. How they came about is unknown, but it's thought to be the result of an unusual amount of mutations which caused their animal-like features. Usually, Chimerics tend to get along better with their own species of animal too. (+5 TO ANIMAL HANDLING ON LIKE SPECIES OF ANIMALS.)

The way to tell a common chimeric apart from another specific species is their lifestyle, speaking styles and general appearance. For example, a common chimeric can be a snake, and look like a Naga or Gorgon, but to tell the two apart you can simply put a Naga next to the snake chimeric and you'll find the differences. They might look identical, but common Chimerics will act more like their animals with human personalities and minds, rather than just look like a recognisable animal.

Chimerics can inhabit anywhere, but commonly they inhabit the same region as the animal they're based off of.

Chimeric resistance and weakness are freeform and should use the same format/guidelines as the weaknesses and resistances of the other species. Be realistic with them, not OP. You may apply ONE weakness and ONE resistance.

Common Chimerics CANNOT BE: Snakes, Birds, Insects, fish. Refer to: Serpentines, Aves, Mantagora, Aquatic Folk

Werewolf

Werewolves are nocturnal chimerics, typically taking on one of two forms: A human with wolf ears and a furry tail, or a full on anthropomorphic, monstrous wolf standing up to 8ft tall.

Unlike regular werewolves, Quiazal’s werewolves don’t change at a full moon in the same way common werewolves in folklore do, rather they can just change their form at will between day and night. Their humanoid form is more magically powerful, while their anthropomorphic wolf form is more physically strong. Either of these forms can be used in situations where they’re more appropriate. At a full moon, they get an insatiable desire to transform, and will change even if they don't want to. They will remain transformed until sunrise.

Most werewolves are viewed by the public eye as demonic, or of Everdark creation, and they don’t help the theories by acting against societals standards, often being rude, unclean and animalistic. They have the tendency to lick themselves in public, growl at people and occasionally move around quadrupedal. Along with this, when two werewolves want to show love towards each other, or one wants to express love towards another, they may take part in act of nibbling each other's ears, rubbing noses, licking each other and even howling together.

Catto

Cattos are the opposite of Werewolves, humanoid creatures which can take on the form of either a human with cat ears and a cat tail, or a monstrous anthropomorphic cat standing up to 8ft tall.

In contrast to Werewolves, Cattos can take on this form in the day time rather than the night time. Their humanoid form is physically stronger than their cat form, which is much more magically enhanced, and certainly more attractive to look at than a werewolf. Either of these forms, much like werewolves, can be called upon when needed or when appropriate.

Cattos, unlike Werewolves, are viewed by the public as Benevolent beings, and often they portray themselves to be. Most Cattos follow Egyptian laws of cats being higher in the hierarchy, holy beings of the Gods if you will, caring a lot about their outwardly appearance and keeping their natural, or more sinful, activities for when they’re in private.

Alphamar

Alphamar are the half animal, half human descendants of the world of Quiazal, and usually resemble all different classes of human animal hybrids: Centaurs, Adlets, Ichthyocentaurs and the like all come under this species classification.

Their individual emotional temperature varies depending on just what animal it is they are- for example, a sunfish ichthyocentaur would be a very peaceful type of Alphamar, while a tiger Adlet may be more tempered, less well mannered and generally quite heated and territorial.

The differences of their anatomy aren't strictly limited to the lower body, however. You can get Alphamars with animal upper halves, humanoid animals, humans with an animal like structure to them and all kinds of other wacky appearances. Usually their anatomy is also heavily based off of the animal they have within them, such as snake Alphamars having elliptical openings and forked tongues, while a sheep may have slit-type horizontal pupils and horns or hooves.
