TIME

a. DATES (datas)

If translating from English, you can follow the source style. BE AWARE of the different order of elements. Chinese is YYYY/MM/DD but often adds characters like 年 (ano), 月 (mês) and 日 (dia). English uses MM/DD/YYYY so there may be ambiguity if the day value is below 12. Check with the PM if you are unsure of the format.

Examples of acceptable formats:

01/01/2021 (always add zeros to make day and month two digits)

1º de janeiro de 2021

De 1º a 31 de janeiro de 2021 (if the month is spelled, you can omit one if the interval is within the same month)

De 1º de janeiro a 31 de março de 2021

b. TIME (tempo)

If there is a numeric value meaning passage of time, use the abbreviated form (h, min, s). DO NOT write hora(s), minuto(s), and segundo(s).

Incorrect: Libera {n} minibombas {n} segundo(s) após a explosão

Correct: Libera {n} minibombas {n}s após a explosão

DO NOT add a space after time the measure unit. Although grammatically correct, it wastes space and is harder to read on small mobile screens.

Incorrect: Recarrega em 10 s

Correct: Recarrega em 10s

DO NOT use m for minutos. In some skill descriptions, it can be read as metros.

Incorrect: Aumenta a velocidade da montaria por 10m

Correct: Aumenta a velocidade da montaria por 10min

DO NOT use a format other than HH:HH 24h. DO NOT use am-pm or add da manhã, da tarde ou da noite. If the numeric value is a horário (e.g. for an update, refresh or maintenance), use the HH:HH format, with a colon to separate hours and minutes.

Incorrect: Missões atualizam todos os dias às 2 am.

Incorrect: Missões atualizam todos os dias às 2 horas da manhã.

Incorrect: Missões atualizam todos os dias às 2h.

Correct: Missões atualizam todos os dias às 02:00.

DO NOT translate às 24h. Some sources may mention 24:00 as a time, to differentiate from 00:00. This format is NOT used in Brazilian Portuguese, so you can understand 24:00 as no fim do dia.

Incorrect: O evento acaba em 1º de janeiro às 24:00.

Correct: O evento acaba no fim do dia 1º de janeiro.
