Cleansing the upholstery

In our 8-Step Professional Upholstery Cleaning Process,

Here are the details of the 8-Step Process.

It is likely that your fabric furniture is one of the most heavily used items in your home, so dirt and soil can show up quickly.

Your fabric furnishings will look better and last longer if you have them cleaned by a professional.

Our technicians are well-versed in the various types of fabrics and can use the most appropriate cleaning method for each one.

As a result of this, the fabric is protected from being damaged during a DIY clean, which is often the case.

This is one of the most critical steps in the upholstery process because there are so many different fabrics to choose from.

As with our carpet cleaning service, we take a methodical approach to ensure great results every time, starting with identifying the fabric and vacuuming it thoroughly before moving on to the wet or dry cleaning system.

1/ Inquiry / Research

When it comes to upholstery, this step is even more critical because there are so many different fibre and fabric types to choose from that there is a greater chance of something going wrong.

As part of our investigation into the upholstery, we'll conduct a series of tests to examine its construction, as well as inquire about its history.

Crush and croc test 2/

You can use these additional tests to ensure that your upholstery is properly cleaned and that no damage is done to it.

We'll also be checking for dye bleed to make sure the clean isn't marred by colour run.

3/ The extraction of dry soil

We use our commercial-grade, twin-motor, upright hoover to thoroughly clean the upholstery.

It is important to remove the majority of the dirt first to prevent the particles from adhering and wicking back to the fibres when they are wet.

Agitation and Pre-Spray

In order to remove stubborn dirt from the fibres of the furniture, we use either a cloth, mit, or drill brush.

We may not agitate certain items due to the presence of weak fibres, which will be determined during the inspection.

5. Extracting

Spray extraction provides the most thorough cleaning of your carpets (when done by trained professionals).

Our top-of-the-line extraction machine and upholstery hand tools are used to apply a rinse to the upholstery and pull it back out.

6. On the Spot Therapy

After the spray extraction is complete, we'll inspect your upholstery to see if there are any remaining spots or stains that need to be addressed.

We'll use a stain treatment that is safe for the environment, if possible.

Comb for Pile

A special brush should be used to reposition the furniture's pile after the cleaning process is complete.

Pile damage can occur if this isn't done and the upholstery can appear to be in different colours in different parts of the room.

Protective Stain Resistant 8.

The stain protector will be applied at this point if you have chosen it.

In the event of any future spills, stain protectors can help, but they are not bulletproof!

It's always a good idea to have your upholstery cleaned.

Bacteria, pathogens, and dirt can build up in your soft furnishings and pose a health hazard if they are not cleaned regularly.

Each time a person sits down on a sofa or chair, these organisms are released into the environment.

Soft furnishings have many hidden crevices: down the side of the arm, beneath cushions, and so on.

Clutter, dust, and even spare change can all be found in these places.

Check out what's underneath your cushions. You might be surprised by what you find.

There are germs and dust mites everywhere, which if left untreated can have serious consequences for the health of you and your family.

Comfortable and saves money.

To ensure that your sofa and chairs last for many years, you'll need to take care of them properly.

Having them cleaned on a regular basis will accomplish both of these goals.

There is a risk of them showing signs of wear if left unattended.

A buildup of grease, dirt, and sweat in certain areas, such as the arms and headrest, can cause fibres to break down and eventually lead to patches or even holes.

Aesthetics

It's important to us that our house looks its best, especially when we have visitors like family and neighbours over.

Having your soft furnishings cleaned by a professional will ensure that your guests return to your home again and again.

What are the benefits of hiring a professional?

In the word "professional," we have the correct training, knowledge, and experience as well as the best equipment and the most up-to-date cleaning solutions to get the job done correctly..

Choosing the wrong cleaning method or solution could cause irreversible damage to soft furnishings (more so than carpets).

Everything we do is geared toward delivering the best possible results while also minimising any potential damage to your soft furnishings.

They're made with the assumption that they'll need to be cleaned.

Look for the words "regular cleaning" and "use a professional" on the care label of most sofas and chairs.

Why wouldn't you follow the manufacturer's instructions?

Plastering the walls of your home or installing a new boiler sounds like something you'd like to try.

No, I don't think so. When it comes to upholstery, you'd go with a professional.

Insurance

We, as a business, have a responsibility to ensure that we are properly insured. As important as it is to have insurance, we haven't actually had to call and file a claim yet.

It's good to know that if anything does go wrong, we've got everything covered and can fix it right away.

Prior to hiring any tradesmen, you should always inquire about their insurance policies. Several cowboys are likely to overlook this fact.

If in doubt, don't hesitate to contact us.

Any questions you may have about our work can be answered by us at any time.
