Carpet Cleaning Frome

Our 8-Stage Professional Carpet Cleaning Process

1/ Carpet Survey

We carry out a 5 point inspection.

Make sure the carpets are tightly fastened.

Determine the carpet’s structure and fibre.

Check the PH level of the carpet pile.

Check for any leftover chemicals.

To avoid colour bleed, conduct a dye bleed test.

2/ Dry Extraction.

We give the carpets a good vacuum using our professional grade, twin motor, upright hoover.

In your carpet, dry soiling makes about 80–85% of the total dirt.

Removing this is vital. We want to remove this before we wet anything and so avoid wick back.

3/ Carpet Pre-Spray

Having carried out your carpet survey we will have identified your carpets fibre and picked a suitable eco-friendly, pre spray.

This gets sprayed straight onto your carpet to start breaking down the dirt and soil prior to extraction.

4. Agitation

We go over the carpets with our professional grade contra rotating brush equipment to work the prespray deeper into the fibres.

This helps to elevate the pile by loosening any resistant soil.

5. Spray Extraction

Spray extraction provides the deepest clean for your carpets (when done by skilled specialists).

An acidic rinse is sprayed on the carpet before being extracted by our top-of-the-line extraction machine.

6. Spot Treatment

After we’ve completed the spray extraction, we’ll look over your carpets again to search for any spots or stains that require additional attention.

We’ll use a stain treatment that’s appropriate for the job, and we’ll try to utilise environmentally friendly chemicals whenever possible.

7. Stain Protection

If you choose our stain protector, we will apply it at this time.

Stain protectors will aid when it comes to eliminating any future spills or dirt BUT they are not bulletproof!

8. Pile Brush

We groom the carpet with a grooming brush to elevate the pile.

This promotes air circulation, lowers drying time and allows the carpet to lie naturally once dry.

Health

Dust Mites

A single square metre of carpet may support about 100,000 dust mites.

Dead mites and their droppings can account for up to 10% of the weight of a two-year-old cushion.

Vacuuming on it’s own WILL NOT REMOVE THESE.

Pets

Pets can carry a variety of germs and bacteria, either on their coats and hair or in their saliva.

It will be gathered by your home’s largest air filter (your carpet)!

Children

Greasy hands, muddy shoes, and mud are just a few of the things that children enjoy bringing into your carpets.

Simply having your carpets properly cleaned by a carpet cleaner can ensure that no mites, germs, or bacteria are passed on to your child.

Dust Mites

Taking care of ourselves and our families comes naturally to the majority of people, which is just one reason why you should get your carpets cleaned PROFESSIONALLY on a regular basis.

Consider carpet as your home’s greatest air filter.

It lies there day after day, accumulating dust and filth from the air, dogs, and footwear, among other sources, before being driven further into the fibres by regular traffic.

All of this is eliminated after a professional deep cleaning.

Allergies to house dust mites are quite frequent and lead to conditions such as asthma and eczema.

With an average of 67 grammes of dust per square metre of carpet, the mites have plenty to feast on.

The House Dust Mite

A serious threat to your health

Typically, it is the proteins in the mites’ excrement that trigger the allergy, not the mite itself.

Again, given that dust mites produce up to 200 times their body weight in excrement each day, it’s unsurprising that so many people are affected.

This is particularly important if you have little children.

Babies and toddlers spend a great deal of time crawling and rolling about on the floor, putting them in close proximity to disturbed dust.

Our eight-step deep carpet cleaning technique will help you and your family live in a healthier atmosphere by reducing the affects of dust mites.

Pets

We all love our dogs and consider them to be members of the family, yet they may be contributing to our allergies.

Their saliva, urine, and other fluids include proteins that may be allergies, and their hair frequently collects dust, fleas, and pollen that becomes buried in carpets when the animals shed.

Our pets’ dead skin, or dander, also accumulates on surfaces such as carpet.

Pet allergies are particularly troublesome since they are sticky and attach to surfaces. When disturbed, they linger in the air for an extended period of time.

Even those who do not own dogs are exposed to pet dander, since it travels on clothing.

Aesthetics – Looking nice.

Our home is our most valuable asset, and we want to maintain it looking nice, especially when we have visitors.

We all have an excellent nose when visiting someone’s house and inspecting the décor and furniture, as much as we don’t like to acknowledge it. A soiled carpet will almost certainly stand out like a sore thumb.

Having your carpets professionally cleaned on a regular basis will ensure that your guests notice you for the right reasons and return.

Why use a professional?

It’s in the words “professional”.

We have the necessary, training, understanding and experience, coupled with top of the range equipment and the newest cleaning products to get the job done RIGHT.

Quite often we visit a job when the client has had a try at getting a stain or spill out themselves using an old wives tale or treatment from the doctor google.

Unfortunately this DIY solution is very frequently the problem and instead of eliminating the spot or stain it has actually set the stain, making it hard to now remove.

There are several elements we take into account when determining the product we use on each carpet and that’s for a reason.

Using the wrong product on the wrong carpet type might cause more damage than good and end in needing to fully replace it.

Which brushes to use during agitation and the optimum pressure level to employ on the machine are critical to prevent wear.

Finally, employing an acidic rinse if needed to bring the carpets PH level back up to where it needs to be (to guarantee the dye is left stable and also prevent any danger of skin irritation to you, your family and pets).

A professional clean will not only leave your carpets looking, feeling and smelling amazing it will also leave them clean for longer.

How? By minimising and removing where feasible, any detergent residues left in the cloth.

Would you take a try at plastering your house, or installing a new boiler? I’m guessing not. You would pick a professional. Your carpet cleaning should be the same.

Insurance

Whilst we have never had to call our insurance to make a claim it is crucial as a professional firm we make sure we have all the proper insurances.

Knowing way, should anything ever go wrong, you can rest confident that we have it in place and can fix any difficulties that could emerge.

There are a lot of cowboys out there who will disregard this area of their company so always make sure you inquire before scheduling anyone.

This goes without saying for any tradespeople you have in to carry out work.

If however, you are doubtful of anything you may always pick up the phone and give us a call.

We are always more than pleased to have a discussion and answer any issues.
