This portfolio has been created by Timothy Estey, a second-year Library and Information Technology student at the Ivany campus of Nova Scotia Community College. The goal of this portfolio is to demonstrate the skills and techniques that have been learned and developed through the First Year of the LIT Program.

As such, this portfolio has been broken down into the First and Second Terms with an individual page for each course contained within the Term. Each of these courses have been further broken down into the focus of the content during each Unit or Chapter of the class.

Furthermore, there are two additional sections located within this portfolio that contain examples of work created by myself and can be found in the following two categories:

• Personal Projects

This section contains ongoing personal projects and creative pieces that while not directly part of the LIT Program were made during the year with skills from some of the courses. All works contained within this section have been chosen because they show the further progression and application of information and education obtained through the course.

• Previous Projects

This section contains works such as High School projects and assignments or works related to volunteer and paid positions such as published blog posts and research papers that are relevant to the skills and knowledge portrayed in this portfolio. All works contained within this section have been selected to show the progress made between the author's senior year of High School and completion of the first half of the Library and Information Technology Diploma.
