Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,

Hallelujah, praise the Lord! Over the last 2 years of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have seen the Lord’s hand of protection over our church, as well as His hand of provision. PLMC remains strong financially. We continue to thank God that PLMC’s ministry needs have been provided for all these years, and we give thanks that you, our dear church family, continue to giving sacrificially towards God’s work through your consistent tithes, offerings, and generous responses to donation appeals. As we celebrate our 90th Anniversary, we have been able to bless 90 beneficiaries with $900,000 from funds in our Outreach donations budget. Indeed, God is good all the time!

Even as we, as a country, have begun to adapt to a new normal, living with an endemic virus and the global geopolitical uncertainties in these times, we continue to look to our Lord for His provision over the years to come. As such, we have prepared our Church budget for the new financial year, 1 August 2022 to 31 July 2023.

As inflation continues to drive up costs in Singapore, we are acutely aware of the growing needs in our community and those of our neighbouring countries. In keeping with our call to bless the community and the nations, we continue to channel 51% of our annual expenses towards Community Outreach, Social Concerns, Church Ministries and Missions. Our Outreach and Social Concerns ministry continues to reach out to the vulnerable, marginalized, and underprivileged within our society. Our Covenant Kindergarten and the Hope Student Care Centre continue to cater to communities within the 5km radius of our Church and our SonShine Kids programme continues to minister to children every Saturday. On the Missions front, we continue to maintain strong collaborations with our field partners and missions agencies, supporting missionaries, missioners and tentmakers in the region, and beyond.

The remaining 49% of the expenses are primarily used to finance our church operations, including funding our manpower needs, congregational expenses, Trinity Annual Conference Commitment as well as the physical maintenance and infrastructure expenses of our church buildings.

As we look to the new financial year as a church, we ask you to prayerfully consider your pledges for the new year. Each of our circumstances are unique, and we only ask that you respond in faith as the Lord leads.

“Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7)

August is the start of the Financial Year at PLMC, and the first Sunday therein is set aside as Pledge Sunday where we, as church members, renew our commitment to the Lord by supporting His work at PLMC with our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness. As you prayerfully consider your giving, you may submit your pledge card electronically by scanning the QR code to access the e-Pledge Form or by clicking on the button below.

May the Lord bless you and your family abundantly as you honour the Lord in your giving!
