Director, Corporate Communications

Job Scope

• Reporting to the Pastor-In-Charge (PIC), the Director, Corporate Communications, strategises and manages all Corporate Communications and Branding for the church in consultation with the various ministry heads and stakeholders to communicate, promote and publicise the Calling and Direction for PLMC.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategise and manage all forms of media – print, online, mobile, social media – to clearly and accurately communicate, promote and publicise the events and activities of the various ministries, and the corporate messaging from the PIC and leaders

• Ensure that all communications are in line with the DNA, calling and direction of the church 

• Uphold and enhance the corporate image and reputation of the church, particularly in the area of brand integrity

• Manage the day-to-day running of the Communications Ministry including the budgeting, administration and record keeping

• In charge of editing, layouting, collating and producing various church publications, both in hard and soft copies

• Mentor and minister to the staff members of the Communications team

• Assist and advise the various ministries on their individual communications strategies

• Collaborate with the Audio, Video, IT & Digital Media (AVID) Ministry to produce publicity and testimony videos for edification and exhortation of the congregation

• Work with co-workers on various Communications fronts (eg photography, archives, social media etc)

• Undertake other duties as assigned by Pastor-In-Charge

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in mass communication, digital media, multimedia or related disciplines

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in corporate communications or marketing

• At least 3 years’ experience in managing a team

• Excellent command of both spoken and written English

• Strong leadership skills and excellent stakeholder management abilities

• Good strategic and critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities

• Creative and resourceful, with excellent interpersonal skills

• Organised, meticulous and ability to meet strict deadlines

• Must be able to work on Sundays

1. Paya Lebar Methodist Girl's School (Sec)

Roles and responsibilities:

You will play a key role in assisting the school leaders in finance, human resource management, stakeholder management and general administration of the school. You will supervise a small team of Executive and Administrative Staff (EAS) to achieve excellence in school administration and operations.

Your job will include:

• Support the school leaders in aligning the objectives and work plan to the overall objectives of the school to meet the school’s strategic needs.

• Support the school leaders in developing and maintaining positive relationships with the schools’ stakeholders such as parents, vendors, and the public, etc.

Roles and responsibilities:

You will be part of the School Administration Team (SAT) assisting the school leaders and Administration Manager in the areas of finance, procurement, student services, stakeholder management and general administration.

Your job responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the school leaders in maintaining positive relationships with the schools’ stakeholders, such as students, parents, teachers, vendors and the broader community

• Assisting in the school’s financial operations, including collection of finances, processing of payments and claims, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations

• Assisting in procurement matters and processes as well as the management of contracts, as required by the school

• Assisting in the coordination and administration of personnel matters such as engagement of relief staff and providing advice to staff on HR aspects

• Supporting the implementation of security and safety procedures and measures in the school

• Supporting the review and streamlining of processes for efficient and effective running of the General Office, for example, pupil placement and applications

• Providing support in administering various MOE IT systems in the school

Requirements:

You should have:

• Strong interpersonal, organisation and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well in teams

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and IT systems

2. HOPE Student Care Centre (an Outreach arm of PLMC)

BASIC ROLE

The Programme staff supports the Superintendent in the development of programs for students. She/He will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Student Care Centre, which includes but not limited to the following:

1. Implement and executes programs for the students 

2. Supervise and guide the children (Primary 1 to 6) in their study to ensure completion of daily homework

3. Guide students in creating good habits in their daily lives

4. Provide a secure, caring, and loving environment for the students in the Centre.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and provide guidance to the students in their studies. 

• Provides students with opportunities to grow. 

• Supervise the students in terms of their behaviour and learning habits. Always use positive disciple techniques.

• Plans, prepare, and execute programs with the Staff to enhance the total development of the students.

• Assist with administrative duties (Enrolment, collection of forms) and upkeep of centre premises. 

• Ensure safety and timely transfer of students from school to student centre. 

• Preparation of progress reports for each student. 

• Participates and support in the Centre’s programmes. (In-house, Outdoor and Outreach)  

• Performs all other related duties described herein or such other duties as shall be assigned by the Superintendent from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum “O” Level or higher with tutoring experience with Primary school students is advantageous  

• Able to teach Primary School Subjects
