In this seminar, we will take a quick journey through the fascinating and intriguing narrative of the Gospel of Mark by examining what it reveals to us about Jesus and his followers.

Rev Dr Lim Kar Yong is a Research Fellow at Seminari Theoloji Malaysia and the Director of the Diocesan Theological Education Department, Anglican Diocese of West Malaysia. Apart from teaching New Testament Studies in various seminaries in the region, Kar Yong also devotes his time to academic research and publishes widely in the field of New Testament.

Being A Neighbour (Luke 10:25-37)

Come and join us for this workshop to learn about how we can be a neighbour to people with disabilities. The focus of the workshop is to demonstrate hospitality towards one’s neighbours, which includes families with members with disability. You will learn how to develop and cultivate a heart orientation towards people with disabilities. You will also gain a basic understanding of common disabilities. Let us come and learn together so that we can fulfil God’s call for us to be an inclusive church.

SPIRITUAL FORMATION

TENDING THE SOUL RETREAT
(29 May - 1 June 2024) 

Are you feeling weary and worn out or spiritually dry and distant from the Lord,  or perhaps you need a quiet space to seek God? If so, consider coming away for this 3-day silent retreat. This retreat will focus on embracing one’s life for spiritual growth. It will be helpful for those  who are experiencing  emptiness, imperfections, brokenness or much clutter in their lives. This  guided retreat will offer you a personal and safe space for you to draw near to the Lord and let Him  tend to you.


A spiritual companion will be available to prayerfully support and guide you through this prayer retreat.

Dates: 29 May - 1st June 2024 (stay-in from Wednesday, 4pm to Saturday, 4pm)

7 DAY GUIDED SILENT RETREAT IN CHIANGMAI, THAILAND (23-30 OCT 2024)

I have set the Lord continually before me . . . Therefore, my heart is glad. Psalm 16:8-9

In this silent retreat on Encountering the Presence of God in our Daily Life we seek to address and prepare you on how to experience the joy of hearing God through the noise, complexities, stress and monotony of everyday life. We will explore the various means to cultivating an intimate relationship with God in the midst of our daily life and learn to live life as a formative spiritual practice, engaged with God who speaks in everything.

Date: 23-30 October 2024 (Wednesday to Wednesday)
Retreat venue: 7 Fountains Retreat Centre, Chiangmai, Thailand

Retreat fee:    $600 per person (covers registration, full board, ensuite single aircon room for whole retreat period).  Airfare is not included.

Important Information

Air Ticket: You will need to book your own ticket. Please book to arrive at 7 Fountains  before 3pm on 23 October  as retreat begins at 3pm. Taxi ride from Chiangmai airport to retreat centre takes about 20 minutes. You have the options of Scoot or Thai Airways (which has a stopover in Bangkok) Please  book early once you have been informed that your registration is accepted.

D6 is an annual family ministry conference focusing on generational discipleship in churches and homes. The goal of the D6 movement is to equip families and churches to pass on  a spiritual legacy to future generations.

YOUTH MISSIONS TRIP- SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA

A group from the Youth Ministry went on a mission trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia, in Nov 2023 and this is their story. You need only to speak with any of these young people who went for the trip, and the way their eyes light up are a testament to how these young people went in faith and met God in a truly transformative way.
