PRAYER FOCUS

OUTREACH MINISTRY

Dearest friends and co-labourers of God,

I greet you in the Name of Jesus Christ our Saviour. Please pray along with me:

O God our Heavenly Father, we thank you that our Block Blessing to the residents of Lor Ah Soo and Blk 208A Woodleigh Link has borne some fruit. We are so encouraged to see some of them responding to the invitation to our Easter Services, and who showed up on Easter Sunday to attend the Easter Services. We pray for all of them – that they may get to know you and your steadfast love for them. Help them to know that your desire is for them to enter your Kingdom and, in doing so, have the abundant life that your Son Jesus promised.

We also pray that our cell groups and worshipers who blessed the residents on Palm Sunday will, over the next few months, continue to visit the residents they blessed to build and nurture the friendships. We pray that these friendships eventually lead to them being willing to hear about the salvation that your Son Jesus brings.

Heavenly Father, you have shown us that we need to do more for the poor and needy in our community. You have pointed us to the rental blocks in Woodleigh Link (Blk 208A) and Buangkok Crescent (Blk 999A). More specifically, you have indicated to us those who are living in the Joint Singles Scheme levels of these two blocks, and the need for us to bring your love, joy, and blessings to them. We pray for your Holy Spirit to guide us as we start the planning process to deliver breakfast to each household in these places. We thank you that you have moved the hearts of the cell groups who have stepped forward to do the breakfast delivery. We pray that you will bless them with good health, strength, and courage, as they do this good work in befriending and discipling the residents there.

We do all these things, O Lord God, because we know that you have made every one of them like us – made in your image. We acknowledge that because of sin, that image in all of us is broken. But we know that you intend to restore that broken image in them just as you are restoring your image in us. We also know, though, that the restoration work can begin only if they are willing to allow you to begin that work in them. So, through the work that we do and the blessings that we bring to the people in the community, allow them to see that we are loving them with the same kind of selfless and unconditional love that you have for them.

We pray all these things in your Son Jesus’ Name, Amen!

CHURCH CAMP & 2024

“Will you not revive us again, that you people may rejoice in you? Psalm 85: 6 (NIV)

Pray that the  Church Camp Organising Committee will be empowered by the Holy Spirit in their planning so that they may be able to discern and align all activities and programs to the Father’s desire and will for the church.

Pray for every member to catch the vision of reaching our community at Serangoon Central, Lorong Lew Lian and Lorong Ah Soo Communities.

Pray for the individual residents to encounter Jesus Christ and receive Him as their personal Saviour.

Pray for the homeless, poor, needy and elderly staying alone – to experience the love of Jesus Christ through our block blessings and visits.

Pray for PLMC to be a “safe place” to receive all people - as we serve God in reaching the communities for Christ.

Spiritual covering over their minds and lives so that they may cultivate and possess the spiritual discernment to test the spirits and ideologies and to choose the good and approved will of God.

Parents will commit to disciple their children in the ways of God and through their godly examples.

The church stand as one, to protect these young ones against all worldly influences, spiritual attacks and ungodly ideologies by praying for them, nurturing them in the Word of God and modeling for them what godliness is.
