Pray that the Church Camp Organising Committee will be empowered by the Holy Spirit in their planning so that they may be able to discern and align all activities and programs to the Father’s desire and will for the church.
Year of Engagement (2024) as we continue seeking to bless the community and the nations.
Pray for every member to catch the vision of reaching our community at Serangoon Central, Lorong Lew Lian and Lorong Ah Soo Communities.
Pray for the individual residents to encounter Jesus Christ and receive Him as their personal Saviour.
Pray for the homeless, poor, needy and elderly staying alone – to experience the love of Jesus Christ through our block blessings and visits.
Pray for PLMC to be a “safe place” to receive all people - as we serve God in reaching the communities for Christ.
For our incoming Prime Minister Mr Lawrence Wong who will take office from 15 May 2024.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Silver Boxes
This Sunday, we celebrate Mother's Day. We pray that the children honour their mothers and show their appreciation, as they learn about how much God loves their mothers and His love for them.
We thank God for the partnership of our Young Adult Cell groups as they minister to the children, together with our teams.
Pray for the children to encounter Jesus each Sunday, as they attend Silver Boxes.
Pray for our upcoming programme for the children, at our PLMC Church Camp. May each child rise up and commit their life to follow Jesus and love Him, and make Him known.
Sonshine Kids
We thank God for the good response from the families of the Sonshine Kids, in signing up for the Farmtastic Outing at Kok Fah Farm and Qian Hu yesterday. We pray that we can continue to build deeper relationships with them, share God's love with each of them.
Pray for our upcoming planning meeting on 15 June and a fruitful time of bonding together.
DISCIPLESHIP & NURTURE
For all BMC candidates:
We thank God for all the facilitators who invested their life and resources in the lives of the candidates. We thank God that all candidates have completed the BMC successfully.
Pray for them as they look forward to their baptism on 23 Jun 2024 and reception into PLMC membership on 30 Jun 2024. May the Lord continue to cause them to grow in their discipleship. The Lord keeps them in his care and cause them to grow in their discipleship.
For DISCIPLE Course:
We thank God for the participants’ perseverance in this discipleship journey. Pray for God to continue to cause them to grow in their discipleship and for their transformation as they encounter God’s Word and Spirit in the class. Pray for the facilitators as they invest their life and resources to disciple others.
For ALPHA course:
We thank God for the participants in the ALPHA course. Pray for God to speak personally and intimately to each one and for their hearts to open to God’s invitation for them. Pray for the facilitators to be kept in God’s care as they invest their life and resources to help others know Christ.
We thank God for the 50 people who attended the Being A Neighbour Workshop on 4/5/2024 where we learned to relate to our differently abled brothers and sisters and becoming a safe place for them. Pray that what they learned will be translated into actions. Pray also for the team who is looking into making PLMC a more inclusive community for differently abled brothers and sisters.
We also thank God for the second round Heartland Evangelism conducted last month. In total about for the two sessions we have about 120 members attended the training. Pray that they will practice what they learned to reach out to their own heartland community for Christ.

Director/Executive, Counselling Ministry
Job Overview
Reporting to his/her immediate supervisor, the incumbent will be involved in both counselling and management of clients. As a team leader, he/she will assist in developing the counselling ministry, and work together with a team of volunteers in delivering effective counselling services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional counselling services to individuals, couples, families and groups, and preferably possess some knowledge to counsel child and youth clients, to improve their well-being
Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling programmes on clients’ progress in resolving identified problems
Collaborate and network with Supervisor and other staff members as part of clients’ treatment plans, and recommend and implement areas for improvement
Prepare and maintain proper documentation of case records
Develop and conduct training and workshops to enhance the well-being of the community
Requirements
Minimum Degree in Counselling or equivalent
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in pastoral care and counselling work
Dedicated and passionate about advocating the importance of mental health
A team player who is able to work collaboratively with other ministries
Proactive self-starter with analytical and creative mind, and ability to work independently
Possess good organizational, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills

PROGRAMME STAFF, HOPE STUDENT CARE CENTRE (PART TIME)
BASIC ROLE
The Programme staff supports the Superintendent in the development of programs for students. She/He will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Student Care Centre, which includes but not limited to the following:
Implement and executes programs for the students
Supervise and guide the children (Primary 1 to 6) in their study to ensure completion of daily homework
Guide students in creating good habits in their daily lives
Provide a secure, caring, and loving environment for the students in the Centre.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and provide guidance to the students in their studies.
Provides students with opportunities to grow.
Supervise the students in terms of their behaviour and learning habits. Always use positive disciple techniques.
Plans, prepare, and execute programs with the Staff to enhance the total development of the students.
Assist with administrative duties (Enrolment, collection of forms) and upkeep of centre premises.
Ensure safety and timely transfer of students from school to student centre.
Preparation of progress reports for each student.
Participates and support in the Centre’s programmes. (In-house, Outdoor and Outreach)
Performs all other related duties described herein or such other duties as shall be assigned by the Superintendent from time to time.
Job Requirements:
Minimum “O” Level or higher with tutoring experience with Primary school students is advantageous
Able to teach Primary School Subjects
Passionate about working with children
Possess good communication and classroom management skills
Creative and loving energy with a positive disposition
Computer Skills – Microsoft Office and Google Suite
