Risen Moms Season 6 - A Community for Mothers with Children Up to Age 12

MOTHERHOOD IS HARD. To the mothers with young children, do you feel a sense of heaviness, and a need for your motherhood burdens to be lifted? A need for less to be on your plate, less on your mind, less on your heart?

The WSCS presents Risen Moms ministry, a community of mothers to provide support based on biblical truth, no matter how you feel about motherhood. It is for the imperfect mother, still learning, still growing, and still recognising she does not have it all together, but we serve a God who does.

Join Season 6 of Risen Moms, as we come together to encourage, equip and challenge moms to apply the biblical truths to their everyday lives.

Register HERE by 15 June 2024.

ALDERSGATESG 2024 (Ephesians 2:10)

All good things come to an end or so the saying goes, but do they? What began as a revival movement within the Church of England, today, amidst uncertain times of climate change, war and flux, we cannot know for certain the future of Methodism.

In this year's lecture, our guest speaker Rev Dr Chiang Ming Shun will look at what is happening among the Methodists in Singapore, the Methodist churches around the world and John Wesley's works to consider whether Methodism will simply fade away. Bishop Dr Gordon Wong will also be sharing what it means to Love God by Doing Good to Our Neighbours during the Aldersgate Celebration Service.

Please mask up if you are coughing or sniffling

Actually, if you are unwell, you should stay home to rest and recover. But if you are NOT feeling unwell and this is just an attack of the “ahems” or “morning nose”, then please wear a mask to allay any fears your fellow worshippers might have. You can get a mask from the ushers if you don’t have one with you.

THE CHRISTIAN CALENDAR - PENTECOST

Sun 19 May 2024 is Pentecost Sunday and begins the season of Pentecost.

Pentecost celebrates the giving of the Holy Spirit as the Paraclete / Advocate and the birth of the Church. Coming 50 days after Easter, the season’s liturgical colour is red, symbolizing the Holy Spirit’s fire and the blood of the martyrs. Pentecost focuses on the gift and the work of the Holy Spirit, and the themes include God’s community (the Church), the gifts and fruits of the Spirit, and spreading the Gospel.
