Product of JAKE TELING’s DigiScan, JAKE is a Digital Assistant for Drift. 

Designed after his creator, his traits and appearance are a mirror of Teling, apart from a few alterations made for the virtual realm he lives in, such as a simplified outfit and slight reinterpretations of his original self. 

Initially unplanned, JAKE was crafted by WILLIAM BENDER and JAKE TELING to counter the deviant uses of Drift technology by the UMF (Unionized Military Forces) and Nexus Collective, as a sophisticated whistleblower. 

His first version was completed in 20– and given the safety keys for Drift before WILLIAM BENDER proceeded to fragmentation with his consent. One half of the JAKE build was given to his son -and Teling’s godson-, NATHAN, while the other remained as a decoy in his work station. Teling and Bender disappeared after that and Nexus Collective was closed and reshaped as Data Security. 

Years later, as NATHAN recovered his father’s belongings when his father’s case was classified as closed, JAKE was reassembled by the young and rising hacker who became obsessed with revenge on his father’s behalf. 

The two share a close bond between godson and -father, a remnant of his original self carrying over from one version to the next. They help each others on a daily basis and Nathan carries the device that holds JAKE everywhere with him, in a white and blue bag. 

The Digital Assistant is the key for the hacker group Exa_Gone to breach through Data Security’s defenses and expose their misdeeds out in daylight.
