History

Previously known as the Nexus Collective, Data Security is the mondial leader in terms of cyber-security, e-storage and software development.

They were initially created in 2025 and through takeover of their main competition, the overall association became a one and only company, ruled by an assembly of ten CEO.
Through the years, some resigned to their places, some simply were forced in some way to resign, leaving in the end five then only one of them to lead the company. The latest director, Ben Wolfmann, disappeared suddenly in 2032, leaving his apprentice Marco to lead the business in his absence.

Data Security stands out in the landscape via their massive funds in Pharmatek's research branch.

Initially hired WILLIAM BENDER and JAKE TELING to developp a new Drift implant so people with memory failures could have a remote bank of memories. Didn’t know DS would want to use it to probe people’s memories and distribute fake informations to the masses in the long run.

Jake decided to scan himself with William’s help to serve as a barrier against foul uses of the Drift.
