'LUCY' is the first engine I built based around an aftermarket upgrade boiler set-up. I managed to find a 'new old stock' IP Engineering Boiler and this formed the basis of this next 0-4-0 loco build. I also started to use the excellent Roundhouse inline lubricator for lubrication of the upgrade O-ring cylinders used on this engine. Around the time of building 'LUCY', I began to design and make my own parts including some press-in wheel inserts that would improve the look of the steel disc upgrade wheels.

My first build of this engine was completed in satin black bodywork. As I continued to build more engines, I decided to go back to #03 and change the look with a bit of a makeover including some styling changes, such as removal of the oversize chimney top, changing the spectacle plate on the cab front and adding in a pressure gauge.
