Hello! My name is LuAnn Pepperwood and I am an ATC artist. This is my primary website.
If you are interested in learning more about Artist Trading Cards, you have come to the right place. The menu at the top of this page is the best place to start. Take your time. Explore my site. I've been making ATCs for almost seven years, and writing about it on various web pages for most of that time.
Currently, there are two different places where you can make ... and trade ... ATCs... in Topeka.
The Mulvane Art Lab (basement of the Mulvane Art Museum, on the Washburn University campus) is open from 12:00 to 4:00 on Saturdays and 4:00 to 7:00 on Tuesdays.
The Topeka Art Guild (in Fairlawn Plaza) has an open studio from 1:00 to 4:00 on Thursdays.
Will I be there this week? Maybe. Maybe not. If you are on Facebook, send a message to LuAnn Pepperwood!
I have two different web sites. This is the older of the two.
A Year in the Life of an ATC Artist is now complete. I posted cards for every day of the year, beginning in September 1, 2025.. Many of those ATCs that are still available for trad. (I used to trade on Facebook... but "THE ALGORYTHM" drives me crazy and I only drop in once in a while now.)
I also have a Facebook Group, that does not yet get much attention: Topeka ATC Artists
Perhaps we can change that soon!
Make an ATC: Here are some "Projects" to get you started!
For a short time, I played with AI-generated art.
It is controversial.
I did not know about the controversy at first. I have since learned a lot about AI-generated art, and I do not currently use AI.
But I see no reason to throw away the images that I generated during my months of exploration. If you are interested in my experiences, read my articles. If you are interested in attacking me, criticizing my use of AI, or otherwise expressing your opinion of AI, please go elsewhere. Been there. Done that.

I originally planned to write an article each week. Is anyone really interested? Probably not. But I love to write and I love to make art and I love to work on web pages.
So this makes me happy.
