So on this part of my ATC website, I shall write about ATCs.
The page will look a lot like a BLOG. Most current post first, followed by earlier posts.
Now that I am taking this web site in a different direction, I thought it would be a good idea to explain just WHY I am doing this!
If you enjoy working with images, writing, and sharing information with others, you just might want to become a webmaster, too!

I'm still trying to figure out if people will just use the menu bar, or if a "landing page" is really necessary. This week's article is short: Hello to 2025!
I had a lot of fun figuring out how to make a "coin" that could easily be converted into a Christmas Tree ornament. (or not...)
I went to my computer first thing today, and hours later I am still....
what?
I went to the ATC Facebook group to see what art has been posted in response to the election results. A set of cards by Lori Linn immediately caught my attention. She made two variations:
I AM NOT OK
WE ARE NOT OK
And she offered them to any of us that needed the art.
I immediately send a message and requested permission to make my own "copy" of the art. Lori granted it and a short while later I had my two cards.
On another Facebook board I learned that there is a song I Am Not OK by an artist who goes by the name of Jelly Roll. Although the lyrics are not, in my opinion, an exact match for my feelings today, it's worth listening to.
Just the main line keeps running in my brain...
I AM NOT OKAY...
I am not OK with the election results.
But I am MORE than okay with the opportunities we have to make art, share art, and help each other through the hard days.

On October 31, 2024, I posted my final ATC to Facebook.
That is the plan.
As of Tuesday, November 5, I have followed through on my resolution.
I have not posted any more cards on Facebook.
Scrolling through all of the "eye candy" was something I used to do quite often. I never really timed myself, but I may have spent an hour each day looking through Facebook postings. I may have spent MORE than an hour. Usually, I would check Facebook the first thing in the morning. This would be a fairly long scroll session, since I had been "off the boards" for at least nine hours. I would check again in the afternoon, and once more in the evening. That is a LOT of time online.
Five scroll-free days!
This resolution to stay off social media gives me an odd feeling of FREEDOM....
But...
The down side is the loss of contact with "online friends."
I've received messages from several great ATC friends. I hope we will still stay in touch, without Facebook. I'm not sure how easy that will be. It used to be so easy to post and comment and meet new artists.
I will miss that.
