While I asked permission to take each of these photos, I neglected to ask if each artist wanted to have a first name and last initial posted.
I will do better in the future!Â

It is really fun to see a family come into the Art Lab and explore.
We try to pack up all the projects safely, so they can go home.
Note the wonderful coiled clay snake, a coaster, and several painted projects from February 8.

The wonderful wall hanging was made by an adult visitor.
Yarn on burlap.
One of our artists discovered that the yarn bracelet method could be changed to make a VERY LARGE yarn.... DOG TOY!
Another artist designed a cat toy, using materials from our sculpture station.
Look at the wonderful details on this dog!
One of our adult artists fashioned this elaborate piece of cake from foam, hot glue, and string.
How about a koi pond?
We don't always have air-dry clay available....
but when we DO, our artists make lovely things!
What can. you make with cardboard?
And paint?
And some fun printed papers?
This Gnome was made by one of our adult artists.
Look at all the wonderful details!
Wow!
These pieces were done by some very patient young artists.
Adults can have fun too.
A lovely chain stitch piece.
When I bring wood pieces to the Art Lab, they always disappear quickly.
Wood, hot glue, and paint make this fun piece.
If we were an airline, Blakely would get "frequent flyer" points!
She is often found in our cardboard sculpture area. I wish I had a better view of the fun DOG....
Once again, I asked to take the photo but I forgot to ask if I should add her name. This artist was new to me today. She carefully painted a black background, then waited and waited until it dried. Then she added the glittery metallic paint.
I think I will put up some samples of this technique.... starting with DARK PAPER....
