This style of cardboard sculpture is fun and easy. When artists add original details, like this long, long tail, it's even more fun.
We now have a station for making flour and salt "clay." I love the position of this pizza delivery person!
June 28
The artist began with a beautifully blended background... but the simple additional of the hand image really makes this piece WONDERFUL!
White oil pastel plus liquid watercolor: this is one of our most popular station.
Hot glue plus sticks plus pipecleaners plus FEATHER!
Several artists made elaborate buildings on June 28. My favorite part of this piece is, of course, the ribbon ladder!

Can you identify each piece in this room?
July 10
On July 10 we had a new group of artists in the Art Lab.
It is always fun to what can be accomplished by middle school students.
This artist introduced me to a new technique: wrapping YARN around a cardboard sculpture.
She gave me permission to take this photo of the work - in - progress.
She also gave me permission to use her technique for some samples to place in the cardboard sculpture area.
In our watercolor station, I met a young artist who travels with her sketchbook. It was so much fun to see the characters she has created.
Meet Tallis Searcy.
I have permission to put her name on this webpage.
When she is famous, I can point to this and say "I knew her when...."
Art Camp!
I was only able to attend art camp on Tuesday and Wednesday. MANY wonderful things were made, and after a while I was too busy to take pictures. Here are just a few of the great items that were made:
With plenty of bling...
A most unusual combination of plaster cup and painted foam.
Wood + glue!
Two projects shown here.
With lots of detail!
