On November 2 I had four of my grandchildren over for the day. Simon is 13, Adam is 11, Julia is 8 and Sylvia is 3. They were here for six hours. It was a great deal of fun.

I decided to draw four of the things used to entertain them, as an example of my experience as a Grandma. The original drawing was done quickly, with alcohol marker. But I have decided NOT to show it here. It is really that BAD...

Not quite what I was hoping for... but some day I will do this again and get it right.

I tried several times to get that drop to work... then I gave up. Yupo is too pricey for experimentation.

This is one of my favorites.

I cheated and did this as a "hybrid card."

I used an old photo of one of my grand daughters, and did an over-drawing using Procreate.

Then I printed it very lightly on paper and did another over-drawing with pen.

The teddy bear was added.

For parents of MY generation, one of the scariest things possible is a 2:00 AM phone call....

I usually avoid copying or doing any kind of fan art, but this scene from The Shawshank Redemption was just too perfect for today's prompt.
