What is an ATART?
It's an All Types of ART marathon where you can create art with fellow artists, at the same time in each time zone. This thread will become our craft room.
How it works:
Start creating art when it's time to start (in the earliest time zone - I’m using New Zealand), then upload your lovely creations to your Athon Gallery and post them to the thread. Trading and chatting are going on all the time as people are awake in different time zones.
While trading happens with frequency at a-thons, it is not a requirement to post art for trade. We love seeing whatever you’re working on!
How to ask for a trade:
When you see a piece of art you would like to trade for, please SEND A PRIVATE MESSAGE / CONVERSATION) to that person asking for a trade. Please DO NOT post requests for trades to the thread - it can get way too confusing and may be missed in all the chatter.
NOTE: when you do make a trade, please be sure to send it to your trade partner within 2 weeks. If you're running late, communicate!
If you wish to compliment an artist besides posting in the thread, you can also click the Reputation button on their post and leave your compliment/comment there.
Generally, an ATART runs over a "long weekend." It's mostly a social event, with a core group of artists who join most ATARTS and a few newbies now an then.
I joined my first ATART in 2022, and that year I joined almost every ATART that was announced. It was fun... but I wasn't really making very good cards.
