Een dogma opleggen is je gelijk willen opleggen. Een dogma uitleggen en erbij blijven, terwijl de andere een ander dogma uitlegt en erbij blijft is wellicht de 0-verdieping waarop zoiets als pluralisme kan worden ontwikkeld.

You cannot force someone to see the other person's point of view if they do not want to. Certainly not by not wanting to see that person’s point of view. That is one of the thorniest problems when everyone adheres to his own dogma.

Je kan iemand niet verplichten het standpunt van de andere te zien als die dat niet wil. Zeker niet door ook dat ander standpunt niet te willen zien. Dat is één van de meest netelige problemen wanneer elk zijn eigen dogma aanhoudt.
