BYU PATHWAY WORLDWIDE
KNOWLEDGE BASE
OD - THREE-YEAR DEGREE
GENERAL INFORMATION
As part of the Three-Year Degree, students will complete a total of 90-104 credits and 3 certificates as part of their degree.
They will still be required to complete the same amount of General Education and religion credits as the 120 bachelor’s degrees but will not have to complete the 27-30 credits of electives usually taken at the end of the degree.
Students choosing to move to a Three-Year Degree will first be moved to the 2023 catalog year as it is the closest to the curriculum for the 2024 catalog year. As soon as the 2024 catalog year is available, all these students will then be moved forward as part of the Three-Year Degree.

Attach a PDF version of your degree audit. Send the email.
REMEMBER!!
Students should select the link that matches the school their degree audit is from.
PEER MENTORS SHOULD LOOK FOR THE FOLLOWING SITUATIONS TO KNOW IF A MORE IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS SHOULD BE DONE BY AN ADVISOR:
If the analysis showed the student would need to change certificates if they switch.
If the analysis shows the student has completed at least 60 credits. NOTE: 60 credits is not an exact number, but if they have completed a significant number of credits or have a lot of transfer credits, they might still have a lot of graduation requirements left. If this is the case, it might not be beneficial for them to switch, and a more in-depth analysis should be done by an advisor.
If there is not a clear choice after the analysis is done.
If the student has multiple questions, is unclear on the implications, or would like a more thorough analysis done.
ROLE OF ADVISOR IN THREE-YEAR DEGREE
After reviewing the analysis of their Degree Audit, if students are interested in pursuing the Three-Year Degree or a more in-depth analysis is needed, they will need to speak with an Advisor. Advisors will perform further analysis of the Degree Audit
If the student has been made aware of the changes/requirements of the Three-Year Degree and is interested in switching, help the student to fill out the Three-Year Degree Assessment form in order to escalate to Advising. Any questions about the Three-Year Degree should also be escalated to Advising through the Three-Year Degree Assessment form.
OUTCOMES
Current students will all be notified of the Three-Year Degree.
Students who currently receive or plan to receive Federal-Financial Aid will need to have their sub-program updated and will be moved to BYU-Idaho Online. They will continue to receive their BYU-Pathway Worldwide tuition rate there, minus any in-house scholarships they may have been receiving here. These students should be escalated to Advising.
Students who do NOT Plan to receive Federal-Financial Aid and would like to switch to the Three-Year Degree will not need a sub-program change. These students will be moved by Advising to the 2023 catalog year until the 2024 catalog is available. If they are currently in the 2023 catalog year, they will remain on their catalog until the 2024 catalog is available. This is because the 2023 catalog will align the most with the 2024 catalog. These students should be escalated to Advising.
If a student is not interested in the Three-Year Degree and does not plan to receive Federal Financial Aid, no action is needed for this student.
